February 14th: Matt Sydal has just captured one of the most
important titles in Dragon Gate. Sydal defeated Masato Yoshino on
2/12 in Kobe to win the Open The Brave Gate Title. Now Sydal will
make history and bring the belt to the United States for the first
time. Sydal will put the Open The Brave Gate belt on the line
against Austin Aries in Dayton on 2/23!!! The very first ROH show
five years ago featured an international title match. Now five years
later to the day, an even more prestigious international title will
be defended on a ROH event. History will be made when the Fifth Year
Festival comes to Dayton. There will be several more main event
quality matches announced for this event on Sunday. We list the

February 14th: Before Sydal can think about defending his newly won
Dragon Gate title, he has a tough weekend ahead of him. ROH World
Tag Team Champions Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydal have two big
defenses signed. This Friday in Manhattan will see them put the
belts on the line against the team that made the titles in World
Titles. Austin Aries & Roderick Strong, the tag team of the year in
2006, will get their chance to regain the belts on Friday. These two
teams stole the show last at "Gutcheck" last August. Now the roles
are reversed and Aries & Strong want the belts back. If Daniels &
Sydal make it past Aries & Strong on Friday, they will be challenged
by the Dragon Gate duo of Jack Evans & Shingo in Philadelphia. This
promises to be athletic tag wrestling at its best. If Sydal &
Daniels lose the belts in NYC, they will still face Evans & Shingo
in Philly. If Daniels & Sydal make it past this weekend, they can be

February 14th: Roderick Strong is really looking forward to his FIP
Heavyweight Title defense on Saturday against Delirious in
Philadelphia. Delirious has been hot in FIP recently, even defeating
Austin Aries. Delirious is also scheduled on several upcoming FIP
events and he would like nothing more than to enter those events as
champion. Strong's goal is to raise the prestige of the FIP Title
and steal the show with the FIP Heavyweight Title Matches. Strong
vs. Delirious tore down the house last September at the "Second Year
Spectacular" in FIP. Now the fans in Philly will get a chance to
witness the rematch with the richest prize in FIP on the line. Don't
forget that FIP Heavyweight Title matches have a 20 count on the
floor, no time limit and the belt can change hands on a countout or
DQ.

February 14th: Keep an eye on Jay & Mark Briscoe this weekend. The
Briscoes have already had a great 2007. They won the GHC Jr.
Heavyweight Tag Titles in January on their first night in NOAH,
which is unheard of. They are the current FIP Tag Team Champions.
During the first ROH weekend of the year they defeated two ghosts
from their past. Now this weekend in NYC and Philly they are looking
to keep the momentum going against two duos looking to establish
themselves on the ROH tag scene. This means The Briscoes will be
faced with two hungry teams that want to make their reputations at
The Briscoes' expense. Friday in Manhattan will see Jay & Mark
battle Nigel McGuinness & Colt Cabana, who are looking to team more
frequently. Saturday in Philadelphia will have El Generico & the
returning Kevin Steen try to earn their spot with a victory over The
Briscoes. The Briscoes want to keep the momentum going as they head
to a possible World Tag Title shot in Chicago!!!
