Tables, ladders, chairs, cells, sledgehammers, screwdrivers,
reunions, new champions, and more!

- The cable gods have struck down upon Larry so I'm here to fill in.
These things happen folks.

- We are live at the Air Canada Center in Toronto.

- Show kicked off with a video package running down the big matches
set for tonight.

- Johnny Nitro vs. Jeff Hardy for the WWE Intercontinental Title
Crowd was really into Hardy from the get go. After some early
showmanship and back and forth action, Nitro gained control. Hardy
fought back and went for an early Swanton but Nitro rolled out of
the ring. Hardy responded with a baseball slide to the outside and
did his spot where he walks the security railing and hit a flying
clothesline off of it. The action returned to the ring where Nitro
again took control of the match. Nitro locked on a version of the
Indian Deathlock and then hit a shinbuster. He continued to work
over the knee until Hardy fought back and hit the Whisper of the
Wind which landed him a two count. Nitro tried to regain control
with a top rope Hurricurana but Hardy held on to the ropes and Nitro
went crashing down. Hardy followed by hitting the Swanton and going
for the pin, but Nitro's foot was on the rope which prevented a
three count. Hardy soon went for the Twist of Fate but Nitro
reversed it into an ankle lock. Hardy fought to get to the ropes but
Nitro pulled him back to the center. Hardy again fought to get to
the ropes and this time made it. Nitro continued to work on Hardy's
leg but Hardy fought back and sent Nitro into Melina who was on the
ring apron. Hardy rolled up Nitro for a two count. Nitro fought back
and went to the top rope to attempt another rana but Hardy caught
him and powerbombed him to the mat. Melina got involved again
though, nailing Hardy with her boot. This gave Nitro the opening he
needed for the pin.
- Winner: Johnny Nitro

- Teddy Long was shown watching on from a luxury box.

- After the match, Jeff ran into Matt Hardy backstage. Matt consoled
Jeff which brought along Lita who ridiculed both of them and said
neither of them would be champions like her and Edge.

- Kane vs. Umaga
Armando Alejandro Estrada ran down Kane prior the match, saying
Umaga was the only monster in WWE. Usual lumbering big-man brawl
from the get go. Umaga clotheslined Kane over the top rope to the
outside but Kane landed on his feet. They exchanged shots outside
and Armando got too close to Kane which resulted in his jacket being
ripped off. Umaga gained control with a legsweep on the outside. The
action returned to the ring where Umaga maintained control until
Armando called for the Spike. Kane punched out of it. Kane gained
control with back-to-back clotheslines but was unable to finish off
Umaga who caught a charging Kane and nailed him with a Samoan Drop.
Umaga went to the second rope but missed a high risk maneuver
attempt as Kane sat up. Kane followed up with a top rope clothesline
and went for the Chokeslam. Umaga tried to nail Kane with the Spike
but Kane blocked it. Kane grabbed hold of Umaga and suplexed him to
the outside. Outside, Kane clotheslined Umaga into the crowd and the
two brawled off. Both men got counted out.
- Winner: No Contest

- The two continued to brawl as the crowd booed the finish.

- Backstage, Mr. McMahon told Shane that he wanted to do a lot of
the dirty work tonight in their match against DX.

- The Spirit Squad vs. The Highlanders for the World Tag Team Titles
Crowd was somewhat quiet for this match after being loud for the
first two bouts. Mikey & Kenny represented the Spirit Squad. Rory
and Mikey started things off with Rory grabbing early control.
Ramming Mikey into Robbie's head was good for a two count. Robbie
came in and maintained control for the Highlanders. Rory returned
and hit Mikey with a double axehandle. The two tagged each other in
back and forth and maintained control even after Mikey tagged in
Kenny. The Spirit Squad rebounded when Mikey pulled Robbie's hair
but it didn't last long. The other Spirit Squad members got involved
and attacked Robbie as Kenny distracted the ref. In the ring, Mikey
landed a two count on Robbie. The Squad strung together some offense
before Mikey missed a splash attempt off of Kenny's back into
Robbie. Robbie went for a tag but the Spirit Squad pulled Rory off
the apron. The Spirit Squad maintained control until Rory hit a
flapjack on Mikey and threw Kenny on his teammates at ringside. The
Highlanders went for the pin followed the Slingshot Gourdbuster but
Kenny made the save. All four men started going at it at the same
time. In the chaos, Johnny nailed Rory with a kick and Mikey
followed that up with a facebuster for the win as Kenny held back
Robbie.
- Winners: The Spirit Squad

- Video package for the DX/McMahons feud aired.

- Vince McMahon, Shane McMahon, & The Big Show vs. Triple H & Shawn
Michaels in a Hell in a Cell Match
The McMahons and Big Show entered first, followed by the cell being
lowered, followed by DX's introduction. The match started wildly as
DX lowblowed Big Show and went off after the McMahons. DX whaled
away at the McMahons. HBK tossed Shane to the ringside area while
Triple H punched Vince to the outside. As Big Show got up, DX low
blowed him again. DX beat down the McMahons on the outside and Shane
was quickly busted open, followed shortly by Vince being busted
open. DX just pounded away on the McMahons, using weapons and
slamming them into the cage. DX got back into the ring where Big
Show finally got back to his feet and took control away from them by
hitting Triple H and then catching HBK off the top rope and slamming
him. Show managed to keep control for a few minutes before DX double
teamed him and whipped him into the steel steps on the outside. DX
again went to work on the McMahons until Big Show recovered and took
them both out in the ring. Shane McMahon finally got involved,
clotheslining HBK over the top rope. Shane and Show then both went
to work on Triple H. Shane continued to pound away on Triple H
inside the ring while Show attacked HBK on the outside. Vince
cheered Shane on as he punched away on Triple H. Shane got a trash
can and wedged it infront of Triple H in the corner and went to the
top. He dropkicked the trashcan into the side of Triple H's head
which busted him open. Vince then pounded away on the bloody Triple
H. Meanwhile, Big Show finally brought HBK back in the ring and the
bad guys dominated. Vince even covered HBK twice and then pulled him
up at two. DX finally got back into it as Triple H ducked a Big Show
charge. Show tumbled to the outside and Triple H cleared house.
Shane managed to get Triple H in the Torture Rack and hit him with a
neckbreaker but HBK nailed Shane with a kick which sent Shane to the
outside. The McMahons and Show regained control. Show went for a
splash on HBK who was being held down by Vince, but HBK got up and
put Vince in the target range which resulted in him getting splashed
by Show. DX sent Show crotch first into the turnbuckle and he ended
up on the floor. DX went to work on Shane including Triple H just
nailing Shane with a stiff chair shot. Shane sold the shot strong
with convulsions and bleeding from the mouth. Big Show finally broke
things up and went to work on HBK and Triple H. He brought the
ringsteps inside the ring but Triple H caught him with a chairshot
to the gut. Show fell down atop the ringsteps and Triple H nailed
him in the back of the head with a chairshot. HBK then hit Show with
a superkick. Vince slowly stood up and faced off with DX. Instead of
attacking him, DX went to Show who was hung on the ropes and pulled
down his shorts, exposing him to Vince. DX then rammed Vince's face
into Show's ass. Show tumbled to the outside and Vince did his
trademark "I'm gonna be sick" face. Shawn hit Vince with a superkick
and Triple H followed that by hitting Vince in the head with his
sledgehammer, causing the hammer to break. Triple H then pinned
Vince for the win.
- Winners: Triple H & Shawn Michaels

- After the match, officials and EMTs ran to the ring to attend to
Shane and Vince. Shane was shaking in the ring and Vince played
dead. Both men were taken off on stretchers.

- A video package highlighting Trish Stratus' career aired.

- Lita vs. Trish Stratus for the WWE Women's Title
Trish got a very big pop. Jim Ross pointed out that if Trish won
tonight, she would have the most WWE Women's Title reigns with
seven, breaking her current tie with the Fabulous Moolah. Trish took
early control with clotheslines and a spinning headscissors. Lita
went to the floor but Stratus hit a Lou Thesz press to the outside.
Trish kept the offense going on the outside by hitting a handstand
rana. The action returned to the ring where Lita finally got some
offense in. Lita went to work and took full control until Trish
fought back with kicks and whips. Trish got elbowed on a Stinger
Splash attempt and the two then worked their way up to the top rope,
exchanging blows until they both tumbled down. The two again went to
the top and slugged it out until Lita threw Trish down to the ring.
Lita went for a moonsault but Trish moved. Trish covered Lita for
two. Lita managed to send Trish to the outside on a Stratusfaction
attempt and ended up with a two count from it. Lita got more
aggressive and hit a suplex followed by kicks to the gut. Lita took
full control until Trish fought back and hit a neckbreaker. The two
got up and started slugging it out. Trish managed to hit Lita with
the Chick Kick but only got a two count out of it. Lita went for the
Twist of Fate but had it reversed into a Stratusfaction which Trish
then changed into a sunset flip which Trish went through into a
Sharpshooter to a really huge pop. Lita tried to hold on but
eventually tapped.
- Winner (and new WWE Women's Champion): Trish Stratus

- After the match, they did a very dramatic ending where Lillian
Garcia was shown crying and JR and Lawler gave Trish a standing
ovation.

- Backstage, Randy Orton said nobody cares about Trish Stratus
unless you're Canadian, in which case you have no life. Orton said
he is the future. He mentioned that he won the World Title in
Toronto two years ago and called Trish and Carlito bitches.

- Randy Orton vs. Carlito
Carlito took early control, forcing Orton to go to the outside to
regain his composure. Carlito again took control when Orton got back
in the ring. Carlito hit a senton and a moonsault which busted Orton
open in the mouth. Orton fought back though, dropkicking Carlito to
the outside. Orton got Carlito back in the ring for a two count.
Orton went to work on Carlito, stomping away at him and eventually
locking on a chinlock. Carlito fought out of hit and hit a slingshot
elbow off the ropes followed by two clotheslines. Orton again fought
back, catching Carlito with a boot to the face. Orton went for the
RKO but Carlito blocked it and nailed a backcracker. Carlito then
went for a neckbreaker which Orton blocked. Carlito then went for a
springboard which launched him right into an RKO from Orton for the
win.
- Winner: Randy Orton

- Video for the Edge/Cena feud aired.

- Edge vs. John Cena in a Tables, Ladders, & Chairs WWE Title Match
Edge came out alone and got a huge pop. Cena got a negative response
with some "Cena Sucks" chants. They introduced both guys after they
got into the ring. Cena jumped out in control early with a headlock
and two shoulderblocks. Edge fought back and hit a neckbreaker. He
went to the outside and grabbed a chair. Cena came down and took a
shot to the gut but got out of the way of a chairshot from Edge
which hit the ringpost. The two returned to the ring where Cena hit
a fisherman's suplex but Edge responded with a DDT. Cena went to the
outside and slid a chair into the ring and threw another one in.
Edge set the chairs up and tried to suplex Cena onto them but Cena
blocked and went for his own suplex which Edge floated over and
reverse DDTed Cena onto the chair. Edge got a ladder and set it up
in the center of the ring. He started to go up it but Cena knocked
the ladder over. Edge managed to land on his feet and clotheslined
Cena. Edge took full control and hit a cool spot where he jumped off
the security railing onto a ladder positioned against the ring which
sprung up and nailed Cena who was hanging on the ropes. Cena fought
back in the ring with some rights and hiptossed Edge into the
ladder. Edge blocked a Cena FU attempt, landing on the apron and
punching Cena in the head. After crotching Edge on the top rope,
Cena got a table and set it up in the ring. He went up to Edge and
attempted a suplex but Edge blocked it and hit a sunset flip
powerbomb which missed the table. Edge did manage to powerslam Cena
through the table moments later. Edge then ran up the ladder in the
ring and dived off onto Cena. The fans chanted "Holy Shit!" Back in
the ring, Edge took control by nailing Cena with a chairshot to the
back but Cena hit a legsweep followed by a necksnap which sent Edge
into a chair. Cena put Edge into the ladder and put him in the STFU
while he was still in the ladder. Edge tapped which doesn't matter
in a TLC match. Cena let the hold go and then hit Edge with the
ladder. Cena then FUed the ladder into Edge. Cena kept the offense
going with a Five Knuckle Shuffle off the ladder onto Edge. Cena
went to setup another table which gave Edge the opening to grab a
chair and nail Cena with it. Edge put Cena on the table, then got
another table and put that one on top of Cena. Edge went to the top
but Cena got off the tables and knocked Edge off the top. Cena got
the largest ladder and set it up. He started to climb as Edge
climbed another ladder in the corner. Edge then jumped off his
ladder and speared Cena off of the large ladder. Edge then tried to
climb up the large ladder but then ended up diving down onto Cena
who started to get up. Cena again tried to FU Edge but Edge grabbed
a ladder to hold off the move. Cena ended up throwing Edge into
another ladder. Edge tumbled to the outside where Cena gave him a
chairshot before going back into the ring where he again tried to
climb the ladder. Suddenly, Lita ran in and knocked the ladder over,
sending Cena from the ladder to the outside through a table. Edge
got back in the ring, set up the ladder, and tried to climb it. Cena
also slowly got back into the ring. Lita nailed Cena with a
chairshot which sent Cena into the ladder Edge was climbing,
knocking it over and sending Edge to the outside through another
table. Cena gave Lita an FU which toppled the two tables stacked
atop each other in the ring. Cena set them back up and seemed to
stall for a few moments before finally positioning a ladder and
climbing it. Edge got back in and climbed as well. The two slugged
it out on the ladder and reached for the belt but Cena finally
grabbed Edge and FUed him through the stacked tables. Cena then
grabbed the WWE Title for the win.
- Winner (and new WWE Champion): John Cena

- After the match, Cena hugged his father who was at ringside. Most
of the fans seemed to be booing. Edge was attended to in the ring
and Cena walked off.
