I enjoyed the hell out of the first iMPACT on Spike TV.
AJ Styles def Roderick Strong in an extended squash match. I would
have liked to see more offense from Strong, but this worked well to
put Styles over.
Monty Brown destroyed Lex Lovett. This was a good way to introduce new
viewers to Brown.
Chris Sabin def Alex Shelly and Petey Williams. This was an
outstanding television match and a great way to let newbies know what
the X division is all about. Williams hitting the Canadian Destroyer
was the icing on the cake.
Rhino vs Jeff Hardy went into a no contest due to interference from
Abyss and then Sabu. The match itself was solid, and the post match
chaos was very entertaining.
The main event segment with Jeff Jarrett and AMW was good. I marked
out for the debut of Team 3-D and I was in such a good mood that I did
not mind when Kevin Nash made his grand return (though I wish he'd
stayed off the microphone). TNA looks to be headed in the right
direction and I cannot wait to see more.
