Because last week's terrorist angle backfired, there was talk that WWE
would change the direction of Muhammad Hassan on tonight's WWE
SmackDown. Despite blatantly playing off the heat from the press on
its website, WWE still intended to "clear up" what happened on last
week's show.

However, if reports are true, Muhammad Hassan will not even be on this
week's episode. UPN informed WWE that they did not want the Hassan
character appearing on SmackDown! this week due to all the bad press,
and since UPN has final say on the programming, it is pretty much
confirmed that the taped cut won't feature Hassan. Whether or not he
does something at the live taping itself, however, remains to be seen.
