Taiping Hash: November 25
The Taiping Hash heads to Jiangsu province this month for a run near
Suzhou in the Dongzhu area, which is located between the Grand Canal
and Taihu Lake.
Hares TBA and Expat Package promise tea plantations, orange groves,
beautiful hills, stunning views, quaint villages, and lots of good
running trails.
The run is A-B. There will be a long/short split. The long run is
about 11 K with the short run 7-8 K.
What will make this run particularly unforgettable for most of us is
the fact that the bash is on the same street as a slew of silk
embroidery shops. This is also the spot in China to buy kimonos and

so we can determine the number of buses needed and arrange for the

Location: Dongzhu, ¶«δΎ, Jiangsu
Time: We estimate the run will start by 1 p.m. We plan to start the
bash by 5 p.m., leave by 7 p.m., and be back in Hongqiao by 9 p.m.
Times for the buses:
10:00 a.m. Pudong, Jinqiao Starbucks, 633 Biyun Road, by Carrefour
10:25 a.m. Pudong, Lujiazui, Information Tower, the last bus stop on
Century Blvd. before the Yan'an tunnel.
10:30 a.m. Puxi, Portman Ritz Carlton, 1376 Nanjing Xi Road, meet
outside by the Starbucks
10:45 a.m. Hongqiao, The Grassy Knoll, Yan'an Road by Hongxu Road,
by the bus stop.
