Taiping Hash: January 17
The Taiping Hash returns to the tranquil and picturesque valley of
the Eastern Mudu Taoism Temple and Spiritual Retreat, otherwise known
as the Taoist Temple of Mount Chenghuang.
For more information and views of the area, check out this link:
http://sztaoism.com/ (which has to be the most active website for the
most non-active of religions).
The run will include a variety of landscapes, including traditional
Jiangsu farming communities, 200 meter high tea plantations, exotic
pagodas, and rustic local footpaths ideal for winter running.
The run is a comfortable 10K, but the hares have included a couple of
aggressive mountain climbs that will challenge Shanghai's best
athletes.
