Taiping Hash, July 30

This month, William takes us to Wuxi in Jiangsu Province.

The run starts at the historic Peng Lai Machine Tools Factory at the
base of the Nanchuan mountains. The trail winds its way through a
forested area of the mountains above Nanchuan Village before dropping
into a valley of peach orchards on the shores of Lake Taihu. The
finish is in the Eco Park.

The run will have a short (50 minutes) and long (75 minutes) split.
Walkers should be able to finish in under two hours.

For the convenience of the growing legions of hashers that are moving
to Pudong, we have added a pickup point in Lujiazui. Of course, we
have selected a spot that is next to a Starbucks.


The Details:

Date: Saturday, July 30

Location: Nanchuan Village, Wuxi. Exactly 160 kilometers from The
Grassy Knoll.

Time: We estimate the run will start at 1:20 p.m. We plan to start
the bash by 5 p.m., leave by 6:45 p.m., and be back in Shanghai by
9:30 p.m.

Times for the buses:

9:00 a.m. Pudong, Jinqiao Starbucks, 633 Biyun Road, by Carrefour
9:15 a.m. Pudong, Lujiazui, the last bus stop on Century Blvd. before
the Yan'an tunnel.
9:30 a.m. Puxi, Portman Ritz Carlton, 1376 Nanjing Xi Road, meet
outside by the Starbucks
10:00 a.m. Hongqiao, The Grassy Knoll, Yan'an Road by Hongxu Road

Directions: If you are driving yourself to the run site, we will send
you upon request the most detailed driving instructions you will ever
see.
