Taiping Hash, April 19

Maybe you think you have seen everything there is to see in the
Suzhou mountains? Just wait until you come to Taiping's April Hash
on April 19.

Wooly Bush and Puss Eye bring you the ultimate hashing experience.
They have hunted down the best in picturesque flora and fauna,
history and culture, to bring you a day to remember.

You will breathe the fresh mountain air in a mix of natural
countryside and the well-tended Sunzi Gardens. You will gallop
through bamboo groves, leap over fallen trees, skip through farmland,
trot through the formal gardens and scamper through the local
villages. You will be honored with the opportunity to pay your
respects to Sunzi & learn about the Art of War.

The run will be A to B, with no walking split; there was no way we
could cut any of the run out and let you miss any of it. FRB's: 60
minutes. Walkers 2 hours.

Weather permitting, the circle will be held on a specially prepared
stage in the restaurant grounds. The food is delectable Chinese
cuisine with the best REEB beer in the house (once we have finished
the free Suntory we got and the quality selection that the person who
volunteers to be our beermaster buys for us).

The bus travel time from The Grassy Knoll in Hongqiao is 90 minutes.

Important: For this run, and all future Taiping Hash runs, we will
take a maximum of two buses. As a result, priority will go to regular
hashers and others who help make these runs possible.

Date: Saturday, April 19

Location: Xitang, Suzhou, Jiangsu province

Time: We estimate the run will start by 1 p.m. We plan to start the
bash by 5 p.m., leave by 7 p.m., and be back in Shanghai by 10 p.m.
Of course, actual results may vary.

Times for the bus:

10:00 a.m. Pudong, Jinqiao Starbucks, 633 Biyun Road, by Carrefour

10:25 a.m. Pudong, Lujiazui, Information Tower, the last bus stop on
Century Avenue before the Yan'an tunnel

10:30 a.m. Puxi, Portman Ritz Carlton, 1376 Nanjing Xi Road, meet
outside by the Starbucks

10:45 a.m. Hongqiao, The Grassy Knoll, Yan'an Road by Hongxu Road

Driving Regroup: Exit 4 off the Suzhou Outer City Ring Road (and meet
past the toll gates on the right before the intersection). Exit 4 is
the first exit past the Taihu Lake Rest Stop.
