Last night, my friend who is in charge of the CHP in Chico informed me that they (the CHP) have been asked to attend a meeting with at least one of the city council members on Friday afternoon to discuss the numerous complaints that citizens are having while driving on Honey Run and Centerville Rds. He said the complaints are a result of cyclists riding 2, 3 or 4 wide on the road and not riding single file when cars are trying to get by. He also said they are having an increase in the number of bikers flipping cars off when they honk or
try to go around. He is realistic and knows that thebird is probably equally flown by both the rider and driver. However, he anticipates that the council will ask the CHP to begin ticketing cyclists seen riding 2, 3 or 4 wide and not moving over when cars are trying to get by. nbsp; They could start ticketing as early as this Saturday, October 20th.This doesn’t need to turn into an email exchange/debate that litters my inbox; it’s simply an FYI. Enjoy the off-season. -mike
