Hi Everyone! Hey, this is just a reminder that we are doing the Tuesday night Cyclocross/MTB event tomorrow night - November 4th - at 6:00pm. However, the location has changed. We will be using the Wildwood Short Course tomorrow night. This course has no creek crossings, is easier to get to than Sycamore, is a little muddy...but not outrageous....has some very small ups and downs.....a section for man-made barriers(much lower this time - I promise!!!). The course is 1/2 mile long, contains some rocks.....but mostly dirt/mud/some dead grass and very little gravel. And almost no goatheads. The course is in the field right next to Floral Avenue....where it connects to East Lassen Avenue.....in north Chico. The course is right next to the road. See Bikely.com map of the course here:
The Start/Finish line is near where the bike path intersects with East Lassen and Floral Avenues.........look for me and the cones at the start location. There are NO road crossings on the course.......although it looks like it on the map......the course is all off-road for this one. Lights for this event will be mandatory - as are helmets!! With the time change, it is very dark in the field at 6pm, so come prepared. The course will be marked with cones and small orange flags.
The race will be 40 Minutes PLUS 3 laps. I will give you the 3-to-go signal....as well as the elapsed time during the ride/race.
And the rain is suppose to stop tomorrow....but the course will still be damp!
