A cha-ta-what?
(pronounced /ʃəˈtɔːkwə/)
The chautauqua gathering was very hip in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Chautauqua assemblies expanded and spread throughout rural America until the mid-1920s. The Chautauqua brought entertainment and culture for the whole community, with speakers, teachers, musicians, entertainers, preachers and specialists of the day.

Theodore Roosevelt once said a Chautauqua is
"the most American thing in America."

We think the chautauqua atmosphere is the most bikey
enviroment for bikes in Chico.

Interested in Details?

We are also creating a Flicker pool known as the "Cycling Chautauqua Carousel." We invite your group to publish photos that best represent your flavor of cycling culture. Just search for the group name in Flicker, join on, and post wildly.
We will be featuring a sideshow on stage comprised of this and other photo streams from Chico bike culture, so please jump in!

This is a cultural event please refrain from vending.
We would like to create a space for friendship not salesmanship, yes?

If you are interested in building a space at the event we ask you RSVP us at contact@.... The spots are filling..

Please title your note RSVP so we see you.

Thank you for riding your bike, and we'll see you there.
