ATTN ALL SPORTS FANS:

Even though the actual anniversary date isn't until March 30, I would like to
kick off the weekend celebration starting today. It would be great to see
everybody take part in this fantastic event. Through thick & thin, The Sports
Universe has managed to survive its 4th year in message board business and we
are just getting started!!!

There are plenty of things going on this week here at TSU. For starters, we have
our ongoing coverage of the 2009 NCAA & NIT tourneys with discussion threads for
each & every game, which has now reached the exciting round of 8. NBA & NHL
teams are making their final playoff pushes. Stars of the college gridiron are
hoping to make that move to the pro ranks, as the NFL draft approaches. And
let's not forget that the '09 MLB campaign is just around the corner. We can
chat about all that and much more.

Just for the record, I have always been on a roller-coaster ride with TSU. It
got off to a great start in the beginning. However, due to moving, I didn't have
home access to the internet for almost a year, because I just couldn't afford
it, at the time. For almost another year after that, I was putting in a lot of
hours at work between my 2 jobs. Plus, I do have a family to pay attention to,
as well. Needless to say, I didn't have a lot of time to increase the activity
of and recruit more members for TSU. Eventually, I cut back on my hours at work,
just because I was getting burnt out. Since then, I've had a little more time to
spend at the site.

Forgive me for ranting, but I felt I needed to explain myself a little, because
during the down times here, I've had quite a few folks tell me that I'm wasting
my time with this place and that I should either merge with "more active" boards
or just shut down TSU completely. Well, I just wanna let it be known that I
absolutely DO NOT have any plans on giving up on The Sports Universe and I hope
no one else does either. I need everybody to help me prove all those naysayers
wrong by coming on over to TSU this upcoming week (and beyond) make this place
more active than it has ever been by simply posting (early & often)!!!

Having said all that, there is always something going on here and this place
continues to improve on a regular basis. But, for the special occasion, you can
expect some extra stuff to participate in for the upcoming week. So, come see
what all the fuss is about and celebrate TSU's 4th year of existence. Party on,
dudes & dudettes!!!
