Even though the Rush lost the scrimmage at Detroit 60-48 after being
tied at halftime 24-up, HC Mike Hohensee was still happy about thew
performances of many of our top players. "I was very happy with what
I saw on the field," said Hohensee. "The players we are counting on
this year played well in very limited action, and we were even with
Detroit at the half (24-24). We then were able to use the second
half to evaluate some of our rookies under game conditions."
The starters saw very limited action and were pulled following the
1st quarter.
New QB Raymond Philyaw completed 3-6 for 23 yards and engineered one
TD drive after getting the ball at DET 20 yard line following an
interception.
