"Raymond (Philyaw) has progressed and has had improvement in his
rehabilitation unfortunately there is enough pain in his rotator cuff
that exists for him not to return to the field at this time. Our hope
is that Raymond continues to progress to becoming 100% and returning to
form as one of the elite quarterbacks in this game."

He was a free agent who signed with Grand Rapids. Whether you liked or disliked him, the Rush didn't trade him. He left to sign elsewhere... So the Rush signed...
