CHIKARA KING OF TRIOS 2008 THIS WEEKEND IN PHILADELPHIA!

Our pals at CHIKARA are holding the 2008 edition of "King of Trios"
this weekend, Friday, February 29th, Saturday, March 1st, and Sunday,
March 2nd, at the New Alhambra (formerly the ECW Arena) located at 7
W. Ritner Street in Philadelphia, PA. This will be the largest
tournament ever held anywhere in pro wrestling, with EIGHTY-FOUR
WRESTLERS~! participating in the three night trios tournament.

Sara Del Rey will be one of the competitors involved in the
tournament (teaming with Tank Toland and Bobby Dempsey), and she will
also have copies of the SHIMMER Roster Album available at the shows
this weekend for those interested in picking one up. If you are in
the Philadelphia area this weekend and you don't check out King of
Trios 2008, shame on you!

DEL REY MAKES FIFTH TITLE DEFENSE IN NYC
----------------------------------------------------------

"American Angel" Sara Del Rey was successful in her fifth defense of
the SHIMMER Championship this past Saturday night, February 23rd. Del
Rey defeated Daizee Haze at Ring of Honor's "Sixth Anniversary Show"
at the Manhattan Center in New York City. The match will be available
in late March on the DVD release of the event.

This Saturday at the Manhattan Center in New York City, Ring of Honor
presents its Sixth Anniversary Show. As part of the historic event,
all of the titles recognized by ROH will be on the line!

Sara Del Rey became the first SHIMMER Champion on June 2, 2007 by
defeating Lacey in the finals of a sixteen woman tournament held in
suburban Chicago. Along with Sara and Lacey, the semi-finals of the
tournament included "Dark Angel" Sarah Stock and Daizee Haze. In the
time since winning the belt, Del Rey has since defended the title
against both Lacey and Stock, but The Haze has yet to receive a title
match.

The rivalry between Sara Del Rey and Daizee Haze dates back to the
main events of SHIMMER Volumes 2 and 3. Daizee and Sara were the last
two wrestlers in a four way elimination match on Volume 2, which saw
Death Rey pin The Haze following the Royal Butterfly. The Volume 3
main event was a singles contest between the two, which saw Sara yet
again pin Daizee's shoulders to the mat, with a bridging German
suplex.

Though Del Rey and Haze haven't met in SHIMMER competition since
Volume 3, their athletic rivalry has continued on in ROH rings across
the circuit. The two first met in ROH competition at Destiny during
June of 2006, in a match which saw Sara pick up the victory. They
were on opposite sides of a tag team contest at Fifth Year Festival:
NYC in February of 2007, where the Daizee's feud against Lacey caused
her to brawl to the locker room, leaving her tag team partner Alexa
Thatcher to face two women by herself and ultimately lose the match.

While Daizee's long running war against Lacey was perhaps her biggest
focus in ROH (a feud based on pure hatred), she never forgot about
Sara Del Rey and the true challenge of going hold for hold, move for
move against her in technical wrestling battles.

Despite Daizee's inability to pull out a victory against Del Rey for
a full year in either SHIMMER or ROH competition, The Haze showed her
heart and determination by finally scoring a pinfall on Sara at This
Means War II in Long Island during April of 2007.

At ROH's first PPV taping Respect Is Earned in May of 2007, Daizee
and Sara had the honor of appearing on the card in one of the bonus
matches for the DVD release of the event. Sara was able to avenge her
This Means War II loss by defeating The Haze in Manhattan. The two
were also on opposite sides of a dream partner tag team match on the
Man Up DVD bonus matches during September of 2007 in Chicago, as
Daizee and Amazing Kong downed Sara and Lacey.

ROH's third PPV, Undeniable in October of 2007, saw history made as
Del Rey and Haze were featured in the first women's bout on ROH PPV!
The impromptu match was put together by Del Rey's agent Larry Sweeney
just moments before it took place, and as a result the SHIMMER
Championship was not at stake. The match came to a conclusion when
Del Rey was distracted by Claudio Castagnoli and Chris Hero brawling
at ringside, leaving Daizee with the opening to score a surprising
rollup and earn the pinfall victory on PPV!

The Haze has proven she can pin Sara Del Rey on more than one
occasion, and this Saturday night in NYC, Daizee gets her first shot
at Sara Del Rey's SHIMMER Championship! Both Sara Del Rey and Daizee
Haze have been integral parts of both the ROH and SHIMMER rosters for
several years now, bringing the best athletic women's wrestling
action each and every time. Will Daizee be able to defeat Sara again
this Saturday night, this time with the title on the line, or will
Del Rey be successful in her fifth defense of the SHIMMER
Championship? That question will be answered this Saturday night!

ROH's Sixth Anniversary Show will take place this Saturday night,
February 23rd, at the Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom, 311 West 34th

The SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES DVD series began filming in late 2005.
The first taping featured 18 of the most skilled female wrestlers
from around North America, and built the foundation for subsequent
tapings. As SHIMMER's fan following started to grow, women athletes
from other parts of the world were brought to SHIMMER to mix it up
with the Americans as well, giving the DVDs an international flavor.
Between that initial taping in November of 2005 and the October 2007
taping, a total of 37 female wrestlers competed under the SHIMMER
banner!

Many fans have requested that SHIMMER release new merchandise items
to accompany our DVD series, and we've listened! Now available for
pre-order is the Limited Edition SHIMMER 2005-2007 Roster Album! This
collector's item features photos and profile information/statistics
for each and every woman who wrestled for SHIMMER between Volume 1
and Volume 16 (the last DVD filmed in 2007). The Roster Album
features the work of SHIMMER staff photographers Jill McKee and Gilda
Pasquil, printed in full color on high quality glossy cardstock. The
Roster Album is an excellent accompaniment piece to the SHIMMER DVD
series. For those of you who have received our small glossy cardstock
promotional flyers before our tapings, the Roster Album is printed

THE HAZE GRANTED SHIMMER TITLE SHOT FOR 2/23 IN NYC!
----------------------------------------------------------

If you saw Ring of Honor's "Undeniable" pay-per-view broadcast, you
witnessed the first women's bout in ROH PPV history between SHIMMER
Champion Sara Del Rey and Daizee Haze.

The SHIMMER Title was not on the line in this impromptu match, put
together by Del Rey's agent Larry Sweeney just moments before it took
place. Toward the end of the match, an altercation took place at
ringside between Claudio Castagnoli and members of Sweet & Sour Inc.
which caused Sara to be being taken off guard as Daizee scored the
upset pinfall victory with a rollup.

As a result of The Haze pinning the SHIMMER Champion on ROH PPV, both
SHIMMER and ROH officials have agreed that Daizee is now in line to
receive a SHIMMER Title match, something she has yet to be granted
since the establishment of the championship last summer. Daizee
Haze's opportunity will come at ROH's huge "Sixth Anniversary Show"
on February 23rd at the Manhattan Center in New York City!

Can The Haze beat Del Rey once again, and become the second ever
SHIMMER Champion on February 23rd? Two of the most prominent Women of
Honor will battle for the belt as part of ROH's "Sixth Anniversary

Since several fans have been known to travel to the Chicago area from
other parts of the country to attend our live tapings, we are giving
everyone ample notice to mark your calendars and plan ahead.

General Admission tickets to the 4/26 taping are now available, but
only 40 remain until we are sold out! PayPal buttons are currently up

for those who have yet to get their tickets.

We will also have tickets available at the upcoming AAW events at the
Eagles Club in Berwyn, and can also accept mail orders for General

THE HAZE GRANTED SHIMMER TITLE SHOT FOR 2/23 IN NYC!

If you saw Ring of Honor's "Undeniable" pay-per-view broadcast, which
premiered this past Friday, January 18th, you witnessed the first
women's bout in ROH PPV history between SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey
and Daizee Haze.

The SHIMMER Title was not on the line in this impromptu match, put
together by Del Rey's agent Larry Sweeney just moments before it took
place. Toward the end of the match, an altercation took place at
ringside between Claudio Castagnoli and members of Sweet & Sour Inc.
which caused Sara to be being taken off guard as Daizee scored the
upset pinfall victory with a rollup.

As a result of The Haze pinning the SHIMMER Champion on ROH PPV, both
SHIMMER and ROH officials have agreed that Daizee is now in line to
receive a SHIMMER Title match, something she has yet to be granted
since the establishment of the championship last summer. Daizee
Haze's opportunity will come at ROH's huge "Sixth Anniversary Show"
on February 23rd at the Manhattan Center in New York City!

Can The Haze beat Del Rey once again, and become the second ever
SHIMMER Champion on February 23rd? Two of the most prominent Women of
Honor will battle for the belt as part of ROH's "Sixth Anniversary
Show!" Details are below.

LESS THAN 70 TICKETS ARE LEFT FOR 4/26!

Less than 70 general admission tickets remain available for the 4/26
SHIMMER taping at the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL. Front row sold out
in a matter of hours, and general admission have been moving quickly
as well. Once these last 70 seats are occupied, that's it. We won't
be adding more tickets, and the venue isn't magically going to get
larger!

If you don't have tickets yet, and you plan on attending the taping,
we have general admission ticket PayPal buttons up along the left
hand side of www.shimmerwrestling.com right now. We can also accept
mail orders (check or money order) for tickets if you do not wish to
use PayPal. E-mail dave_prazak@... for further instructions for

ROH PPV WOMEN'S MATCH NOTES!

Ring of Honor's fourth pay-per-view offering, "Undeniable" debuted on
Friday night. "Undeniable" will be available on iN DEMAND during the
rest of the month. Visit www.rohwrestling.com for details on how you
can catch "Undeniable" on PPV.

The first women's bout on ROH PPV, featuring Sara Del Rey vs. Daizee
Haze, is a part of the "Undeniable" show.

In breaking news, the Women of Honor 3-way contest that took place at
the Manhattan Center in New York City just a few weeks ago, pitting
Lacey vs. Daizee Haze vs. Sara Del Rey, will now be a part of ROH's
fifth PPV, "Rising Above!" The match was originally scheduled to only
appear as a bonus match on the DVD release of the "Rising Above"
show, but due to some additional available PPV broadcast time for the
show, the women's bout was able to be fit into the PPV
broadcast! "Rising Above" debuts on PPV on March 7th.

COMING SOON: NEW DVDS & SHIMMER ROSTER ALBUM!

We've got several new SHIMMER merchandise items coming out during the
next few weeks. I'll avoid giving specific dates for when each will
be released, just in case for whatever reason there might be a slight
delay, but they will all be available shortly.

Much like we did with Volumes 11 & 12, which featured the SHIMMER
Title Tournament, we will be releasing both Volumes 13 & 14 at
www.ROHwrestling.com on the same day. We're doing so in an effort
to "get caught up" more quickly on DVDs that have already been filmed
but have yet to be released, and also to make it more convenient for
those of you who plan on ordering both (this way you won't have to
pay for shipping twice).

Both Volumes 13 & 14 are finished and are in replication. I just got
done screening the final edit of Volume 14, which was the DVD filmed
at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, FL, and I've got to say
that this is personally one of my favorite DVDs we've ever produced.
Every match on this show made a contribution in its own way. The show
featured several rematches (Danger vs. Rogers in a 2 out of 3 falls
match, Kong vs. Roxx in a rematch from Volume 5, and of course the
main event/rematch from the tournament finals of Lacey vs. Del Rey),
plus the first SHIMMER meeting of MsChif vs. Daizee Haze, and a very
amusing Rain vs. Cheerleader Melissa match. Plus Daffney made her
first appearance as a wrestler. Overall, it's just one of the DVD
releases in the series that I am most pleased with.

In addition to the two new DVD releases coming up, we've also just
put the finishing touches on the 2005-2007 SHIMMER Roster Album. Many
of you have requested for additional merchandise and collector's
items to be available from SHIMMER to go along with our DVD series,
and I'm really happy with how the Roster Album turned out.

For those of you who have received our promotional flyers in the
past, which were printed in full color on glossy cardstock, the
Roster Album is being printed the same way, on the same glossy
cardstock as the flyers. Just imagine full size pages worth of that
high quality material, in booklet form, and that's the Roster Album.
It's eight full size pages, featuring profiles on all of the 37
wrestlers who have competed in SHIMMER from Volumes 1 to 16, with all
of their stats, signature moves, list of which DVDs they appeared on,
etc. This is something that every SHIMMER fan is going to want in
their collection, and will make for an excellent item to collect
autographs in.

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES returns to live action on Saturday, April
26th at the Berwyn Eages Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL, just
outside Chicago. Bell time is 4pm. Volumes 17 & 18 of the SHIMMER DVD
series will be filmed during the course of the event.

This will be the most talent loaded taping in SHIMMER company
history. Our last taping featured 24 of the top women athletes in
profesional wrestling, and this time around we will feature more
performers than ever before! It is our goal to deliver the most
complete talent lineup in women's wrestling for this taping, and are
pulling out all the stops!

Who from SHIMMER's past will make their return to action on Volumes
17 & 18? Who will make their SHIMMER debut on April 26th? These
questions will be answered when SHIMMER returns with its biggest
taping ever!

Since several fans have been known to travel to the Chicago area from
other parts of the country to attend our live tapings, we are giving
everyone ample notice to mark your calendars and plan ahead.

Front row tickets for the Volumes 17 & 18 taping will be available at
a cost of $40, and will go on sale online at 7pm Central time tonight
(Tuesday, January 1st, 2008).

As we have done in the past, tickets will be available via The
SHIMMER Forums at www.shimmerathletes.com as we will accept ticket
requests through Private Message at 7pm Central tonight. Please do
not contact us prior to that time to try to reserve tickets before we
put them on sale. We will not be able to do so for you. If you'd like
to get front row tickets, make plans to be online when they go on
sale. Keep in mind, for the past several tapings, front row has sold
out the same day they were put on sale.

Please note that we will only be accepting PayPal ticket orders for
front row tickets tonight, and payment must be issued this evening in
order for us to honor your ticket request. We will not be waiting for
mail orders for front row to arrive, due to the demand for them on
the day they go on sale. If you don't have a PayPal account, and
would like front row tickets, you now have notice to establish one so
that you don't get shut out of the opportunity to get tickets.

General admission tickets to the taping will be made available at a
later date. All we will be putting on sale tonight are the 65 front
row tickets.

Please be advised that we had to turn away about 25 fans who tried to
purchase tickets at the door last time, as we had to cut off ticket
sales when the venue reached capacity. We will do so once again this
time to avoid overcrowding. If you wish to attend the taping on April
26th, get your tickets in advance.

NOTES FROM ROH IN MANHATTAN
----------------------------------------------------------

Ring of Honor presented two huge events at the Manhattan Center in
New York over this past weekend.

On 12/29, the fifth ROH pay-per-view was filmed, in addition to bonus
matches for the DVD release of the event. As part of the non-PPV
matches, a non-title match took place, with SHIMMER Champion Sara Del
Rey vs. Daizee Haze vs. Lacey. Daizee scored the victory following
the Mind Trip on Lacey. After the match, special guest Tammy Sytch
praised Haze and Del Rey on the microphone, and then got into a war
of words with Lacey. As Lacey was about to attack Sytch, Daizee
stopped her and nailed Lacey with the heart punch, setting Tammy up
to deliver a big slap right across the face of Lacey. The match will
appear on the DVD release of the 5th ROH PPV.

On 12/30, ROH's "Final Battle 2007" event took place. Though no
women's matches were featured on the 12/30 event, it was noteworthy
for the Women of Honor because it featured the ROH return of Mercedes
Martinez, as she was revealed as the latest addition to The Vulture
Squad (Jack Evans, Ruckus, Jigsaw, and Julius Smokes). Look
for "Final Battle 2007" to be released on DVD in a few weeks.

TITLE TOURNEY DVDS TO BE RELEASED 11/26!

Ring of Honor has announced that Volumes 11 & 12 of the SHIMMER DVD
series, which feature the two night, sixteen woman, single
elimination tournament to crown the first SHIMMER Champion, will both
be released at www.rohwrestling.com on Monday, November 26th. These
two Volumes in the series, which total over 5 1/2 hours in length and
feature 20 matches in all, will be sold separately at a cost of
$14.95 each.

Just ten days left until Volumes 11 & 12 are released! Mark your
calendars.

HWA & SHIMMER TEAM UP ON AMERICA ONE!

SHIMMER Women Athletes is joining forces with the Ohio based
Heartland Wrestling Association to air matches on HWA's "Adrenaline"
timeslot on the America One TV Network affiliates around the country
during the coming weeks.

The HWA has occupied a timeslot on America One for quite some time
now, and in lieu of producing completely new original content for air
themselves during the next few weeks, they will also be airing
matches which have taken place in other organizations, to try to help
spread the word about these companies and give viewers something new
to see each week.

This Saturday's (11/17) edition of "HWA Adrenaline," which airs at

VOLUME 5 DVD HITS U.S. RETAIL

SHIMMER Volume 5 was released in retail in the U.S. by Big Vision
Entertainment on 10/16. The release features the first Photo Gallery
feature on a SHIMMER DVD release, featuring some of the very best
shots taken by SHIMMER staff photographer Jill McKee on the night the
show was filmed.

Among the matches on Volume 5 are Sara Del Rey vs. Mercedes Martinez
(No Time Limit), Rebecca Knox vs. Daizee Haze (2 out of 3 falls),
Lacey vs. Nikita, Amazing Kong vs. Nikki Roxx, Cheerleader Melissa
vs. Allison Danger, and a whole lot more!

FULL RESULTS/RECAP - VOLS. 15 & 16 TAPING!
----------------------------------------------------------

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES returned to the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL on
Saturday, October 13th, 2007 to film Volumes 15 & 16 of the DVD
series. Here's what went down...

The first half of the taping consisted of matches taped for SHIMMER
Volume 15.

1. "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK def. AMBER O'NEAL via tap out with the
Garden of Eden (triangle choke).

2. PORTIA PEREZ & NICOLE MATTHEWS def. LORELEI LEE & ASHLEY LANE in a
tag team contest.

REBECCA BAYLESS conducted an interview backstage with ALEXA THATCHER,
who said she wants to get her hands on ALICIA, who attacked Alexa's
injured foot on Volume 14, but Alicia is nowhere to be found so it
will have to wait. Bayless pointed out Alexa's opponent for the night
is CHEERLEADER MELISSA, and Thatcher said she is going to give it all
she's got against Melissa to pull off the win.

3. JETTA def. SERENA DEEB with a stranglehold lungblower turned over
into a stranglehold submission.

REBECCA BAYLESS conducted an in-ring interview with ALLISON DANGER,
who said she's trying to set aside her recent losses against CINDY
ROGERS and focus on going after the SHIMMER Championship. Rogers
interrupted the interview and wound up attacking Danger. A referee
slid into the ring as they fought, and called for the bell to make it
a match.

4. ALLISON DANGER def. CINDY ROGERS with the Old School Expulsion.

5. "The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" LACEY & RAIN def. PORTUGUESE
PRINCESS ARIEL & JOSIE with a double team tomikaze.

Backstage, MsCHIF & DAFFNEY cut a promo about how THE EXPERIENCE want
a rematch from the tag bout on Volume 12, but after attacking Daffney
in Florida on Volume 14, this time they'll have to deal with Daffney
as MsChif's partner, as she is out for revenge.

6. CHEERLEADER MELISSA def. ALEXA THATCHER following the Kudoh Driver.

7. "The Experience" LEXIE FYFE & MALIA HOSAKA def. "The Scream
Queens" MsCHIF & DAFFNEY after hitting the double team gourdbuster on
Daffney.

8. "Dark Angel" SARAH STOCK def. DAIZEE HAZE with a variaton of a
victory roll to earn #1 contendership, and get a title shot against
the winner of Del Rey/Kong on Volume 16.

After the match in the locker room SARAH STOCK said that she doesn't
care whether it's SARA DEL REY or AMAZING KONG that she has to face
for the championship on Volume 16. Stock proclaimed that she is the
best wrestler in the company, and she will become the new champion on
Volume 16.

9. "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. AMAZING KONG to retain the
SHIMMER Championship. The closing moments of the match saw both women
drained of energy from the brutal fight, resulting in the referee
administering a series of ten counts, only for both women to struggle
back to their feet and continue to fight each time. Finally Del Rey
hit the Royal Butterfly on Kong, but was too exhausted to go for the
cover. Del Rey beat Kong to her feet during the ensuing ten count and
was awarded the victory.

During a post-match interview in the locker room, AMAZING KONG stated
that SARA DEL REY may have technically won the match, but she did not
pin her or make her submit. Kong said "I'll see you again real soon,"
and that it's just a matter of time before the title is hers in a
rematch.

Following intermission, matches were taped for SHIMMER Volume 16.

In a locker room interview, PORTIA PEREZ & NICOLE MATTHEWS boasted of
being on an "undefeated streak" in SHIMMER tag team competition, and
how they will continue in the great tradition of the Harts and
Rougeaus as a Canadian tag team force in pro wrestling, because
they're "frickin' awesome."

1. LORELEI LEE def. AMBER O'NEAL with an Oklahoma roll.

2. PORTUGUESE PRINCESS ARIEL & JOSIE def. PORTIA PEREZ & NICOLE
MATTHEWS with a double team blockbuster (Ariel held Matthews up as
Josie came off the turnbuckles with a blockbuster).

3. ALEXA THATCHER def. ASHLEY LANE with her signature face kick.

REBECCA BAYLESS interviewed LACEY & RAIN in the locker room, asking
for them to reveal their tag team partner to take on the team of
DAIZEE HAZE & MsCHIF & "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK later in the evening.
The Home Wreckers then welcomed JETTA into the fold as "The cream of
their Oreo," and an honorary Home Wrecker, while pointing out Jetta's
history against all three of their opponents in Europe.

4. "The Experience" LEXIE FYFE & MALIA HOSAKA def. ALLISON DANGER &
SERENA DEEB following the double team gourdbuster on Serena.

5. CINDY ROGERS def. DAFFNEY via submission with the TCB, after
targeting Daffney's knee, which was re-injured early in the bout.

6. DAIZEE HAZE & MsCHIF & "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK def. "The
Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" LACEY & RAIN & JETTA in roughly 25
minutes when Daizee pinned Jetta following the heart punch/Yakuza
kick combo.

7. AMAZING KONG def. CHEERLEADER MELISSA after the Amazing Press.

8. "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. "Dark Angel" SARAH STOCK two
falls to one in a two out of three falls match to retain the SHIMMER
Championship.

SHIMMER will now spend the winter months releasing the DVDs that have
been filmed this year, before returning to tape new DVDs in the
spring. Due to the unpredictability of the winter weather and
SHIMMER's reliance on smooth airline travel to bring all of the
talent in for each taping, this will become a regular part of
SHIMMER's schedule, where we will film DVDs from the spring through
fall, and take a hiatus from live events during the winter.

WLS-TV Channel 7 in Chicago was on hand to film a segment on SHIMMER
for an upcoming episode of Channel 7's "190 North" program. Several
SHIMMER stars including SHIMMER Champion Sara Del Rey, Allison
Danger, MsChif, and Josie were interviewed for the segment, which
will air on the 10/28 edition of the show.

Photographers Walter Lippmann, Buddy LaMantia, Jill McKee, and Gilda
Pasquil were all on hand at the taping. Look for their material to be
available online very soon.

We'd like to thank all of the fans who traveled from all over the
country to be a part of SHIMMER's final DVD taping of 2007 in Berwyn.
This was our second sellout at the Eagles Club, with 250 devoted fans
in attendance!

NOTES ABOUT UPCOMING SHIMMER DVD RELEASES
----------------------------------------------------------

It's a busy time for SHIMMER as far as our DVD production goes. We
are one week away from the release of Volume 9 at
www.rohwrestling.com. The Volume 9 DVD features Amazing Kong vs.
MsChif, as well as Cheerleader Melissa vs. Sara Del Rey, and will be
included in next week's ROH merchandise update.

Volume 10 is currently in production, and should be released just a
few weeks after Volume 9 hits. In two weeks, we head to Florida to
begin working on Volume 11, which will be a two disc release
featuring 20 matches in all, including the entire SHIMMER Title
Tournament plus non-tournament bouts as well!

On the retail side of things, Volume 4 hits retail on August 7th. It
is already available for pre-order online via Amazon.com and various
other assorted retailers. Some of you have noticed that the more
recent SHIMMER titles in retail have not been shelved at the actual
Best Buy store locations. The situation with Best Buy is that they're
scaling back in general on the number of DVD titles that they are
shelving (you'll notice that a significantly fewer number of pro
wrestling DVDs are being shelved at their stores lately), and
unfortunately we're included in their cutbacks.

Best Buy is still carrying all of our retail releases on their web
site to order online, so they're still working with us in that
respect. There's a chance we could wind up on Best Buy shelves again,
but I'm not counting on it.  I'm just glad that we got the level of
national distribution we did for Volume 1 on Best Buy shelves while
we could.

All of the other various retailers that have carried (and shelved)
the earlier SHIMMER releases will also be carrying Volume 4. If
you've seen the earlier titles on shelves at local retailers, future
DVD titles from us will be able to be found there as well.

We're currently preparing the Volume 5 footage for its retail release
in the fall. As most of you know, we slightly revise the edit of each
title for retail, mainly to eliminate the entrance music that is
present on the initial run of each release. I know many of you have
disliked the royalty free music that has been placed over the
entrances on our early retail releases. As a result, we've made the
decision, beginning with Volume 5, to simply start each match with
ring announcer Joey Eastman introducing the participants, eliminating
entrances entirely. That's one of the benefits of using the "boxing
style" introductions in SHIMMER, where the ring announcer doesn't
announce who the wrestlers are until both of them have completed
their entrance and the music has ceased playing.

We are also adding a new photo gallery feature to the retail versions
of our DVDs as well. It's something extra that we can easily add,
since we have so many excellent photos to work with after each and
every taping.

Again, for those of you who prefer to have copies of the initial run
of each release for your collection (with the original entrances
intact), we strongly encourage you to pick up each new release as it
becomes available through Ring of Honor. Once we sell out of the
initial run of each title, we won't be re-issuing it again in that
original form. For example, ROH is now selling the retail versions of
Vols. 1 through 3 because we've run through the stock of the initial
run of those three releases. There's a limited number of copies of
the initial run of Vols. 4 through 6 left, so act quickly if you want

INVERNESS, FL EVENT EARNS VOLUME 13 STATUS!
----------------------------------------------------------

Tthough initially we had made the decision to not include the 7/1
Inverness, FL show as part of the Volume number DVD series (the plan
was to keep it as a separate release, with simply the "Hot Summer
Nights" title, as an accompaniment to the Volumes we film in Berwyn,
IL), we've reconsidered.

The Inverness show turned out so well live, and translates so very
well to tape that it would honestly be a huge mistake to allow this
event to potentially go unnoticed or get lost in the shuffle in the
long run by not recognizing it as "Volume 13."

The show featured the first ever SHIMMER Title defense, which also
wound up being the most lengthy match in company history. It also
featured the big Volume 5 rematch between Amazing Kong and Nikki
Roxx, as well as the continuation of the Allison Danger/Cindy Rogers
feud, and the first SHIMMER meeting between Daizee Haze and MsChif.
Thus, this show is very significant in our DVD sequence, and deserves
to be considered "Volume 13," rather than just an accompaniment DVD
to the rest of the series. Volume 13 it is!

Citrus County Auditorium (3610 S. Florida Ave/Highway 41) in
Inverness, FL. Bell time is 6pm. Doors will open at 5pm. Tickets are

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES returned to the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL on
Friday, June 1st for the first of two consecutive nights of tapings.
Featured on the card were the first two rounds of the SHIMMER Title
Tournament (Volume 11, Night One).

Before the show began, ring announcer JOEY EASTMAN informed the crowd
that SERENA DEEB was in an automobile accident on her way to Chicago
coming up from Louisville, but that she came out of the accident
unharmed, though her car was totaled. Eastman said she was going to
try to get another ride to the venue in time to still participate in
the tournament.

1. MALIA HOSAKA def. ALLISON DANGER with the figure four leglock.
Hosaka worked over Danger's leg for the duration of the match, until
the pain of the hold forced Danger's shoulders to be against the
canvas for a three count.

REBECCA BAYLESS conducted an in-ring interview with SHIMMER newcomer
ALICIA, who didn't win over many fans with her comments. Alicia
stated that she is the top star on the east coast scene, and that she
should have been in SHIMMER from the very beginning.

2. DAIZEE HAZE def. PORTIA PEREZ with the Heart Punch/Mind Trip
combination.

3. "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. CINDY ROGERS with a cross arm
German suplex.

4. PORTUGUESE PRINCESS ARIEL made her way to the ring for her match
against SERENA DEEB, only for senior official BRYCE REMSBURG to rule
that since Serena didn't make it to the building in time, Ariel would
receive a bye into the second round. ALICIA immediately made her way
to ringside and pointed out that she has defeated Ariel numerous
times on the east coast, and if there's a spot in the tournament now,
she deserves it. Ariel ageed to the match, and Remsburg ruled the
bout a first round contest. Alicia scored the pinfall following a
Michinoku Driver and a handful of tights.

5. MsCHIF (w/ Daffney) def. LEXIE FYFE with the Desecrator.

6. "Dark Angel" SARAH STOCK def. CHEERLEADER MELISSA. During the
closing moments of the match, Melissa had Stock up for the Kudoh
Driver, only for Sarah to use her leverage to get up on Melissa's
shoulders, into a victory roll for the three count.

7. LACEY def. "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK with the Implant DDT.

8. NIKKI ROXX def. RAIN with the Barbie Crusher.

Following intermission, REBECCA BAYLESS interviewed SERENA DEEB in
the ring. Serena told the fans that she wasn't injured in the auto
accident, and will wrestle on Saturday's show. She said that though
she missed her opportunity to participate in the tournament, she will
be closely watching the tournament, and wants a shot in the future at
whomever is crowned the SHIMMER Champion.

10. "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. ALICIA with the Royal
Butterfly into the powerslam.

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presented its second of two consecutive
nights of tapings at the Eagles Club in Berwyn, IL on Saturday, June
2nd. Featured on the card was the final two rounds of the SHIMMER
Title Tournament (Volume 11, Night Two), as well as SHIMMER Volume 12.

The first portion of the show consisted of matches that will be
featured on the Volume 11, Night Two disc.

1. JOSIE def. ALICIA in the opening contest. When the ref caught
Alicia with a handful of tights, she began to argue and left herself
open for a quick rollup from Josie for the pinfall.

2. LACEY def. DAIZEE HAZE in a semifinal contest in the SHIMMER Title
Tournament with the Implant DDT. A large portion of the match took
place on the ringside floor, as this bout was more of a fight between
the two rivals than a hold for hold wrestling match.

3. "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. "Dark Angel" SARAH STOCK in a
semifinal contest in the SHIMMER Title Tournament with a jumping
piledriver, just seconds before the expiration of the twenty minute
time limit. The two competitors received a standing ovation from the
fans in attendance after the match.

4. ALLISON DANGER def. CINDY ROGERS in a No Disqualification Street
Fight. Several weapons, including chairs, a stop sign, a shovel, and
a 12 foot chain became involved in the match. During the closing
moments, Rogers and Danger began a tug of war with the chain, leading
to Danger using her momentum to hit an STO on Cindy for the pinfall.
After the match, Rogers continued to attack Danger with the chain,
prompting Allison to issue a challenge on the microphone for a Dog
Collar Chain Match on Volume 12.

5. NIKKI ROXX def. PORTIA PEREZ & "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK &
PORTUGUESE PRINCESS ARIEL in a Four Corner Survival match after Nikki
hit the Barbie Crusher on Jez to score the fall.

6. RAIN def. SERENA DEEB with the Acid Rain (Japanese Ocean Cyclone
Suplex).

7. CHEERLEADER MELISSA & MsCHIF (w/ Daffney) def. "The Experience"
MALIA HOSAKA & LEXIE FYFE in a tag team bout. Melissa hit the Air
Raid Crash on Hosaka, and then neutralized Fyfe, while MsChif
followed up on Malia with a quebrada to score the pinfall.

8. "American Angel" SARA DEL REY def. LACEY in the finals of the
SHIMMER Title Tournament to become the first SHIMMER Champion. Late
in the match, Lacey pulled senior official BRYCE REMSBURG in the way
of a charging Del Rey in the corner, which allowed RAIN to enter the
ring with Remsburg incapacitated. Rain hit the Rain Drop on Sara, and
rolled out of the ring. Lacey went for the cover, and ref slowly
counted her down, but Sara was able to kick out before three. ALLISON
DANGER and NIKKI ROXX then came out to the ringside area and carried
Rain away from ringside to keep the match one on one. Del Rey ended
the match with the Royal Butterfly into the powerslam, followed up
immediately by a jumping piledriver.

After intermission, matches were filmed for the SHIMMER Volume 12 DVD
release.

9. SERENA DEEB def. ALICIA with the spear.

10. MALIA HOSAKA def. JOSIE with a Frankensteiner.

11. MsCHIF (w/ Daffney) def. PORTIA PEREZ with Obliteration
(piledriver variation off the turnbuckles in the corner).

REBECCA BAYLESS introduced ALEXA THATCHER to the audience, who came
to the ring in street clothes. Thatcher informed the fans that she
broke her foot earlier in the weekend and is out of action due to the
injury. ALICIA made her way to the ring and showed sympathy for
Thatcher, but only for a moment or two until she attacked Alexa and
stomped away on the broken foot. Referees had to pull Alicia off of
her before she could do further damage.

12. "The Jezebel" EDEN BLACK def. LEXIE FYFE via submission with the
Garden of Eden (triangle choke).

13. CHEERLEADER MELISSA def. PORTUGUESE PRINCESS ARIEL with the Air
Raid Crash.

14. "Dark Angel" SARAH STOCK def. DAIZEE HAZE with a Tiger Driver in
roughly twenty minutes of hold for hold action.

15. CINDY ROGERS def. ALLISON DANGER in a bloody and brutal Dog
Collar Chain Match. The rules of the match stated that the first
wrestler to touch all four corners of the ring in succession without
an offensive maneuver from their opponent would be declared the
winner. Late in the match, as Rogers had Danger up on her back,
carrying her around the ring as Cindy touched each corner, she didn't
realize Danger was playing possum and nonchalantly touching each
corner immediately after Cindy did. As they made their way into the
fourth corner, Danger  gave Cindy an STO, but Cindy's hand slapped
the top turnbuckle as she took the maneuver and was thus declared the
winner.

16. SHIMMER Champion "American Angel" SARA DEL REY & NIKKI ROXX
def. "The Minnesota Home Wrecking Crew" LACEY & RAIN in the tag team
main event of Volume 12. During the final moments, Del Rey got both
Lacey and Rain up in the Royal Butterfly simultaneously. Roxx soon
took Lacey for herself and nailed her with the Barbie Crusher, just
as Sara converted into the powerslam on Rain for the three count.

Photographers Jill McKee, Gilda Pasquil, and Wally Lippmann were in
attendance and shot hundreds of photos, which will be available
online shortly. Additionally, photographer George Tahinos shot
ringside both nights for Super Luchas magazine in Mexico (coverage of
Dark Angel's participation in the SHIMMER tournament), as well as for
submissions to Pro Wrestling Illustrated.

Everyone at SHIMMER would like to thank all of the fans who came out
and supported the competitors live and in person at the Eagles Club
for the two consecutive nights of tapings.

SHIMMER returns to action on Sunday, July 1st, at the Citrus County
Auditorium in Inverness, FL. Look for more details on the event to be

RING OF HONOR TO RECOGNIZE SHIMMER TITLE

June 4th: "American Angel" Sara Del Rey was crowned the first SHIMMER
Champion this past Saturday night in Berwyn, IL as part of a two
night, 16 woman, single elimination tournament. Del Rey defeated
Cindy Rogers, Alicia, and "Dark Angel" Sarah Stock during the first
three rounds of the tournament, to work her way into the finals
against Lacey. Sara finished Lacey off with the Royal Butterfly into
the powerslam, followed immediately by a jumping piledriver to
capture the title. Congratulations, Death Rey! ROH will recognize the
SHIMMER Title. There are currently negotiations taking place to have
Del Rey defend the belt in ROH.



HUGE SIX WOMAN TAG TEAM MATCH SIGNED FOR 6/30!

As we approach the next live SHIMMER event on Sunday, July 1st at the
Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, FL, a HUGE six woman tag team
match has been signed for the night before the SHIMMER show. The
event on Saturday, June 30th, at the National Guard Armory in Crystal
River, FL, is presented by Full Impact Pro.

FULL RESULTS OF SHIMMER 7/1 IN INVERNESS, FL
----------------------------------------------------------

SHIMMER - WOMEN ATHLETES presented a live event on Sunday, July 1st
at the Citrus County Auditorium in Inverness, FL as part of the "Hot
Summer Nights" tour with Full Impact Pro. Here's what went down...

In a pre-show SPARKLE contest, RODERICK STRONG successfully defended
the FIP World Heavyweight Title in a four way match against Masked
FIPper #16, The Masked Sparkler, and Chasyn Rance, after Strong
pinned the Sparkler following the Gibson Driver.

All of the wrestlers surrounded the ring for a ten bell salute
to "Sensational" Sherri Martel and Woman before the main show kicked
off.

1. "The Definition of Technician" CINDY ROGERS def. ALLISON DANGER
two falls to one in a two out of three falls contest. Rogers got a
quick pinfall in the opening seconds of the match with a rollup and a
handful of tights. Danger tied the match following Flirting With
Danger and the Shimmering Warlock. Rogers won the third and deciding
fall when the referee called for the bell after Danger passed out in
the TCB.

2. PORTUGUESE PRINCESS ARIEL def. AMBER O'NEAL with the Dariel.

3. LEXIE FYFE def. DAFFNEY via submission with a leglock. This was
Daffney's first appearance in SHIMMER as a wrestler, and she put in a
very strong showing until re-injuring her left knee, which has been a
recurring problem for the past several years. Lexie realized this and
immediately clamped on a submission hold to earn the tap out victory.
Post-match, Lexie and partner MALIA HOSAKA continued the beating on
Daffney until MsCHIF and SERENA DEEB hit the ring to run them off.
Lexie brawled to the locker room with MsChif, and Daffney was carried
to the back, leaving Serena and Malia inside the ring. The referree
called for the opening bell and their match got underway immediately.

4. SERENA DEEB def. MALIA HOSAKA with the spear.

5. CHEERLEADER MELISSA def. RAIN with the Air Raid Crash after
fifteen minutes of back and forth action.

6. DAIZEE HAZE def. MsCHIF in their first match against one another
in SHIMMER competition. The bout lasted twenty minutes, and displayed
just how familiar with one another these two former training mates
and frequent adversaries are. Daizee scored the pinfall with a unique
rollup.

7. AMAZING KONG def. NIKKI ROXX with the Amazing Press in
approximately fifteen minutes. The brutal contest spilled into the
crowd, and all around the Citrus County Auditorium. Kong bloodied the
nose of Roxx with the spinning backfist before hitting the splash off
the turnbuckles for the victory.

8. In the main event of the evening, "American Angel" SARA DEL REY
def. LACEY to retain the SHIMMER Championship in just under thirty
minutes. The match saw both wrestlers give it all they had for the
duration, without any outside interference this time from Lacey's tag
team partner Rain. Ultimately, Sara was able to force Lacey to tap
out while in the Royal Butterfly.

Everyone at SHIMMER would like to thank the 150 fans who came to see
the show live at the Citrus County Auditorium, to make our first live
event outside of the Chicago area a success! SHIMMER now has a second
home in Florida, and will be returning in the future.

The event was filmed with three cameras for a future DVD release,
titled "SHIMMER Hot Summer Nights" (it won't be a Volume number in
the series... those will be strictly the Berwyn double DVD tapings).

Daffney iced her knee in the locker room following her match, and was
able to put a bit of weight on the leg after the show and walk
without the aid of crutches. It was a recurring injury that once
again got aggrivated during the course of the match, and she hopes to
be back in conditition to wrestle once again within the next two
months or so. We all wish Daffney a speedy recovery, as she put on a
fantastic performance in the match up until the injury took place.

In a footnote pointed out during a promo taped for the DVD, this was
Malia Hosaka's second appearance during her career at the Citrus
County Auditorium in Inverness, as she also had her fifth ever match
at the same venue 20 years ago against Wendi Richter.

Photographer Walter Lippmann was ringside at the show taking action
photos of all the matches. Those should be posted in his online photo
albums very soon.

SHIMMER returns to live action on Saturday, October 13th at the
Eagles Club (6309 26th Street) in Berwyn, IL for the Volumes 13 & 14
tapings. Front row reserved seating for the event is already sold
out. Look for General Admission tickets for the October 13th Berwyn
taping to go on sale in the next few weeks.
