To add, if you think something is a risky manoeuver, and there is an inkling of a chance that you or the person you are chasing/defending/tackling is going to fall or get hurt, don't go for it (at least in the hard ground games).
The only kind of action i've had after sustaining a shoulder injury in a fall in Gandhi Nagar in Jan, has been on a Pool table, and that's not very pretty :).

Once again I insist.. guys, please take your warm-ups, cooling down and strengthening exercises seriously.
It's not without reason even in your P.T periods in most schools, they made you do a warm-up run around the ground, and do some basic exercises before allowing you to play!
You can avoid injuries and continue playing more effectively by taking good care of your system. Wear the adequate clothing also if required (sports undergarment) to support your body parts.

It was such a bad mistake, to stop gyming. I went to a sports doc ( Dr.Madhu ) yesterday, for what seemed like a minor issue. After x-rays / ultrasounds, i was diagnosed with the beginning stages of Hernia. Doc said that i could've certainly prevented, if i had been gymming / stregthening abs.
He said this happened coz my core muscles couldn't support the legs..
Please do gym / strengthen and enjoy playing ultimate. I almost had to miss sports for a long period..
( i was lucky - a rare form of hernia, this , and i still have a chance to avoid going under the knife, if i gym and strengthen the abs / core )
