Ok, there were a few problems wiv dat chat room for da Community
Shield
match, but we kinda ironed things out. Dfer just went into a yahoo
chat
room wot had like just one or two peeps in it. Dfer eventually picked
recreation and sport/ soccer: room 18. All yahoo rooms have voice
chat
so it woz easy for Dfer to do commentary. To get into Yahoo Chat
youse
need a Yahoo Messanger or a Yahoo chat client like Yahelite (details
of
Yahelite at end of dis post). To get into Chat via Messenger youse
click da word Messenger on da top right of the Messanger and a drop
down list appears. Yahoo Chat should be about halfway down dis list.
Youse click it and anovver box appears. Youse click Join a Room and a
box appears wiv all da Yahoo Rooms on it. As Dfer said Dfer picked
Recreation and Sport, den clicked into room 18. Now it seems there
are
many versions of Messenger and some do not work like Dfer's and some
do
not have Yahoo Chat in da list Dfer spoke of. How youse join Yahoo
Chat
with other versions of Messanger Dfer does not know. Also Yahoo has
US
and UK Messangers( just to make things easier!) and Dfer, although in
England uses da US Messanger wiv Voice, version 7,0,0,437.

Unfortunately an unknown voice error occured. Voice woz working great
den da audio dropped and da volume meter stayed at 0 , and beebed
loudly at Dfer when Dfer tried to send da comm via me mic. This
doesn't
usually happen and maybe one of those peeps already in da room woz
blocking it somehow. Neither one woz using voice chat or text chat,
in
fact donno why they were in da room at all.

Wot Dfer did wot worked woz Dfer opened a Yahoo Messenger Conference
room wiv Voice. Dfer can invite anyone who has Yahoo Messenger into
dis
room if they are on Dfer's Yahoo Messenger list or if they Personal
Message Dfer wiv da chat ID they wanna come in wiv (IM if ya like).
When Dfer sent audio on it it worked perfectly throughout da match.

Youse can also use ya Yahoo ID and password wiv da YahElite Chat
client. It's free to download at http://yahelite.org/ (Or Google for
Yahelite for homepage link).
Just go to da download page, ignore da left side where they ask youse
to pay and click da right side link. Da free and pay versions are
exactly da same. Once loaded ya type ya Yahoo ID into da box wot says
Account Name and ya Yahoo password in da box underneath where it says
password. Next ya click da button labelled load account information.
In
the Enter Chat Room As box should be a list of all ya yahoo ID's for
da
Yahoo account youse just loaded da account information for. For da
Choose Protocol button every time ya click it, it cycles around. Keep
clicking it till ya see Chat+Pager. Lastly ya open a chat room wiv da
Start in Chat room box which if ya click da lil yellow folder icon at
da end of da box should bring up a list of all da Yahoo chat rooms.
Go
to da room we've picked to chat in. Donno if it works , but wiv
Chat+Pager selected in Yahelite maybe youse could receive da Yahoo
Conference invites. Dfer knows YahElite pager and Yahoo Messanger
IM's
work together just fine.

Which brings us to wot room to pick. Day Yahoo room numbers vary each
day and Dfer not sure if me Audio will work for da full match in 'em.
Gonna play it by ear and switch on me Messanger just before kick off
and work it out from there. Maybe Yahoo Conference is da best way to
go
since dis work well last match. One last problem is dat Dfer can't
always do commentary. If da match on a UK radio station local to
London, Dfer can usually do it if Dfer has nuffin' to do dat day.
Dfer
sometimes has to work match days especially midweeks., plus me paw
woz
badly smashed up and sometimes have to go for physio and not allowed
now to sit for too long. Doc says gotta walk on it or lay down.

So there ya go. Hope it works for ya. Prolly forgot summink but youse
bright peeps should work it out. Dfer should be about tomorrow for da
match unless summink dramatic happens around here.
