Re:Fwd: [critical-mass] study on the promotion of cycling

I found Section 2.5 'Naked Streets' interesting to be
coming from europe - the home of separate facilities.
In it they put forth the argument that it is
beneficial to have no bike lanes, and removal of many
of the traffic controls because it limits the speed of
motor vehicle traffic. They make an argument that the
most efficient speed to travel in the city is lower
than the speeds that the current infrastructure is
designed for, so that this is of benefit to everyone.

Strike II needs more context before I would call that a strike.... However Strike III is so bad that it consitutes three strikes for me right there. Ken...

A relatively minor semantic one. I'm still not ready to call that a full blown strike. (But as I said, the last one about having to travel as fast as other...

I believe what Tom is saying is that bicycles and motor vehicles are both vehicles, and you 'drive' a vehicle. I, personally, see his point but still think...

... well ... TF: "Violation" (of VC), is a better description of the line "cycle instead of drive", than "contradiction". The author didn't "contradict"...
