CIRA Abu!!!

All men who fight for Ireland
Though they struggle or fail
Be they or not of Irish blood
They are of the Gael.

And every fool who for foreignors fight
And of his career and rank does brag
Is but a traitor if he fights Ireland
To subject her under Britains flag.

CIRA vows to continue armed struggle

Gardai have expressed concern over claims that dissident (sic) republicans fired
shots over the grave of Kerryman Dan Keating to mark his 106th birthday.

Continuity IRA issued a statement yesterday saying that its members had fired a
volley of shots over the grave outside Castlemaine village in Co Kerry this
month. Keating, patron of Republican Sinn Fein, died last October at the age of
105 - he was Ireland's oldest person and had been a War of Independence veteran,
IRA activist and former republican prisoner.

"In honouring this life long Republican the CIRA wish to restate that the armed
struggle against British occupation continues despite the sell-out and surrender
by some former Republicans who now administer British rule in Ireland,'" the
body said, vowing there would be no CIRA ceasefire and that "military
operations'' would be "intensified''.

A garda spokesman last night confirmed that the force had received no reports
from the public about shots being fired at the graveyard, which is around two
miles outside Castlemaine.

Dan Keating fought in the War of Independence with the IRA's 1st Kerry Brigade,
taking part an ambush that claimed the lives of 5 RIC men. He was arrested
several times during the thirties on various charges and was active in London
during the 1939/1940 IRA bombing campaign.

In later life he refused to accept a state pension because he considered the
Republic (sic) an illegitimate state.
