HI EVERYONE!

We are excited to announce that we are participating in the 13th
annual
National Trails Day (NTD). National Trails Day, sponsored by the
American Hiking
Society, promotes awareness and appreciation for trails and those who
build,
maintain and manage them. This year's theme is "Take the Path to a
Healthier
You". You can find information about hiking and fitness on the

On Saturday, June 4, 2005, we will be hosting multiple volunteer
projects in
Capitol State Forest. There will be something for every skill level.
Registration will begin at 9:00 a.m. at the Middle Waddell Day Use
Area
and
Trailhead. Participants are asked to bring lunch, drinking water, and,
appropriate footwear. You can bring your own gloves and tools or,
borrow ours.

We are working on some fun surprises and giveaways. So, this would be
a
great
opportunity for children and families to participate, and, have a
good
time.
Feel free to print out the attached flyer and post or distribute it
as
you see
fit. (It is a PDF file. It looks best when saved to your desktop
first.) We are
hoping for a strong turnout. So, we are counting on folks to help us
get the
word out.

I am also looking for groups or clubs to provide leadership by
sponsoring
projects or providing project leaders. If you would like to
participate,or,
coordinate a volunteer project for your group or organization, please
