This month The Department of Natural Resources had a series of
meetings throughout Washington open to the public about recreation on
public lands. The last time DNR did a long term recreation plan was
around 1971. Well since we didn't have Mountain Bikes, Para gliders,
Extreme Kayaks, Speed Free Climbers and any other sort of variety of
users out their at the time it's a bit out of date. They are putting
together a new plan for trails, camp grounds, parking, trail access,
boating and on and on. Well they need something from you! Yes you to
road riders who use the roads bordering the forest. They need your
input on what you do in and around the forest. What you want to see
changed or improved. one more thing. What is your vision of the forest
for the next say 50 years. Not just Capitol Forest but all DNR lands.
Sale em. continue to manage em, burn em down (just kidding). What do
you use the state lands for?????
Please take the time to write a little blerb or a 90 page document and
