Oh what sad news today! Carlos has lost his opening round at this
year's French Open tournament to a talented Argentinian qualifier
(coached by David Nalbandian's brother) called Eduardo Schwank ... but
not without a HUGE 5-set struggle lasting over 4 hours. Carlos was 2
sets to love down, then came back to make it 2-2, leading 40-0 on his
serve at 3-4 in the 5th, when it all caught up to him. Schwank managed
to close tyhe game to 40-40, then many Ads & deuces continued until
Schwank finally broke Moya to go up 5-3. Amazingly, the Argentinian
then cramped & needed treatment - and when he went out to serve for the
match, he still did it! Carlos must have been bitterly disappointed, as
he'd worked SO hard to come back to level the match, only to have it
snatched from him in those last 2 games. Amongst the drama were 2 tie-
break sets. Final score to Schwank: 7-6, 6-2, 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.
