The ATP site says that Carlos went never further than 3rd round in Hamburg. But if I remember well, in 98 or 99 he played a semifinal or final and lost it...

in1998 he lost in first round from Haas in two sets and in 1997 he lost in second round also fro Haas.But indeed in 1999 he lost in semis from Rios....
