Carlos beat Olivier Rochus in straight sets, yay!
Final score was 7-5, 6-3.
Then Carlos had to play Marat Safin. This match was a little tougher,
but Carlos came through it in 3 sets, 6-2 6-7(3) 6-1. I think he was
unlucky not to win the tie-breaker in the second set, but he made his
point in the third set, Marat probably gave in more easily. Bueno.

MASTERS SERIES HAMBURG May 15, 2008
Nadal will meet countryman and close friend Carlos Moya (pictured),
the No. 11 seed, in the quarterfinals.
In a battle between two former ATP No. 1s, Moya prevailed over
Russian qualifier Marat Safin 6-2, 6-7(3), 6-1, breaking serve five
times to win in 2 hours and 27 minutes.
World No. 12 Moya snapped a three match-losing streak when he won his
first round match over Julian Benneteau earlier in the week. The 31-
year-old, who was Roland Garros champion in 1998, is playing in
Hamburg for the 12th time and is a two-time former semifinalist,
losing to Marcelo Rios in 1999 and Roger Federer last year.
