I see that no-one has been posting here while I've been away at the
Aussie Open in Melbourne ... so I will add my bit. We all know that
Carlos was beaten again by James Blake in the opening round of the
A.O. ... just sad that both these players had to meet first up - such
is life when you're not seeded (for Carlos). Blake won again, this time
in straight sets, 7-6, 6-2, 6-4. The first set was very close in that
tie-breaker, could've gone either way.
I was courtside for the match but still couldn't pull Carlos through
Silly boy should've won that first set tie break, it may have made a
difference. And Carlos won the toss but elected to receive as he has
done before ...Grrrr! Then he was playing 'catch-up' for the whole
first set. Didn't think he got good line calls during the match as
well, but what can you do? I noticed that Carlos stayed back after the
match to talk for a long time with the umpire ... don't know what
about, but ... que sera, sera.
