As you know, Rafael Nadal had to pull out of the Shanghai Masters
Cup with a foot injury.
Now Rafa is getting better, and he and Carlos are going to play at
an exhibition for a charity on December 23, just before Christmas.
Apparently Carlos's new gym in Mallorca is going really well ... but
I so-o-o hope he doesn't retire yet!

Rafa to Start Training Next Week
11/30/05
The latest news regarding Rafa's foot injury is encouraging. Tests
reveal he is suffering from "post-traumatic arthritis", i.e.
inflammation of the instep of his left foot. He has begun treatment
for the injury, and expected to be back on court on December 5 to
prepare for the 2006 season. Rafa told the Spanish press, "I'm
pleased because it is not as serious as might have been expected.
Let's hope I don't feel any pain when I start training again."
Rafa's participation in the Masters Nacional (Valladolid 16 - 18
December) is unlikely but he and Carlos Moya are scheduled to play a
Christmas exhibition for charity in Palma on December 23rd. This
event will be presented officially at Moya's Profitness gymnasium.
