Good morning Hashers!

 

Well, the 500th and 501st Hashes in Caracas are over and were celebrated in grand style over the last couple of weeks with the finale being this last weekend in Choroni.  Those of us who were there will always remember it as being one of the most enjoyable out of town Hashes we have had!!!  The only thing lacking was the presence of a lot of our members who were unable to be there!!!

 

However, our camaderie is not going to end with these celebrations!!  We have a lot of new members but are on the verge of losing some of our most dedicated Hashers, in particular, the Williams family and Matt Crawley.  I understand that we will also going to lose some of our Norwegian members during the summer!

 

So I think we should make sure that the next couple of Hashes, June 6th and 20th, are memorable as well!!!!  And, we should take advantage of them to bring in new members to carry us into our next 100 Hashes!!!

 

But before I go, I want to thank once again everybody who contributed to making the 500th the event that it was.  Virtually all of you were acknowledged by Iain at the Saturday night dinner; however, none of us got around to acknowledging Iain himself!!!  As always, Iain invested a lot of his personal time in, among other things, chairing the 500th Hash committee, preparing the food for the May 9th Hash, and arranging for the British Airways tickets and the donated liquor from Diageo.  Special thanks to him from all of us for his dedication and commitment to the Caracas Hash!!!

 

All that being said, keep tuned to this channel for more details on the auction for the British Airways tickets, the raffle of a number of prizes, and the June 6th Hash!!!
