Time: 3:30pm for a 4:00pm start

Location: This Hash will be held in the extra-ordinarily beautiful neighborhood of Altamira.

Address: 10th Transversal, between 1st and 2nd Avenida, Qta. Los Fernandez. The start and end will be at the same place.

Directions:  There are many different ways to get there but the easiest route for those not able to follow the wonderful signs in Caracas, is as follows: Overview Map  Close-up Map

From the autopista Francisco Fajardo, take the Altamira distribuidor; you will end up on Luis Roche Ave and will be heading towards the Avila. You will pass Plaza Altamira and keep going until a round square (possible only in Caracas). The Restaurant El Barquero is in this area, but don't stop for a beer!

At the round square, turn left, go two blocks, and turn right on San Juan Bosco; again heading towards the Avila. You will pass Clinica El Avila and keep going up, up, on, on... At the end of San Juan Bosco you will come to the 10th Transveral and will face Tarzilandia restaurant, again don't stop for a beer (we have to add these warnings so that we can get the hash off on time!).

Take a left on the 10th Transversal and go down, down for 1/5th of a km (you will pass the entrance to Sabas Nieves). If you take a right by mistake, you will ultimately arrive at the Hotel Humboldt and will only be able to wave at the rest of us from way up there.

At this time you should find a house on your right that has red bricks and green doors... with a bunch of poorly-dressed ex-pats hanging out in front. This will probably be the only house in the area, as most houses were torn down and replaced with bigger buildings. Be ready for some history, as in the 1940's, this was the first house built in Altamira!

Hash Insight:  This will be a friendly, but hard Hash... mostly for runners, but feel free to bring your kids (you may need someone to help push you up the hills). We will try to include a beer stop to aid your morale and there will be no need to plan for a taxi. There will be no parrilla or formal food at the end, just beer for the kids and soft drinks for the adults... ;) and some nutritious snacks, as usual.
