Hey Canseco Fans...
What's new at Canseconet? Well, it's almost time to unveil the 2000 Jose
Canseco Home Run Contest. Soon, very soon... I'm still in the process of
rescanning and reorganizing the photos from the Photo Galleries, and I have
a bunch of checklist updates I still need to make. Thank to Troy
Birmingham, each Photo Gallery now has a nice imagemap at the top! I also
added a link to a cool Jose poster you can buy online tonight - check it out!
The Devil Rays signed a couple of power hitters earlier this month - Vinny
Castilla and Greg Vaughn. Between those two guys and Fred McGriff, the
Rays lineup is really shaping up. Hopefully the added "protection" will
get Jose some better pitches to hit.
That was the good news. Here's the bad news: The company that hosts my web
site decided to move me to a new server on Tuesday. Of course, they
decided to not actually MOVE any of my files, so my site was down for a few
hours while I did it myself. Everything should be up and running again
now, but if you find any problems, please let me know ASAP. I think the
site seems slower than before the move, and I emailed my host about it.
They said they are going to take care of it, but if they don't soon, I'll
just find a new host. I've been very unhappy with how things have gone
with them for the past couple of days (Canseconet mail was even screwed up
for about 24 hours), so I won't hesitate to switch to a new host.
I guess that's it. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!
Remember, Spring Training is just around the corner!!!

From PSX:

...The middle of Tampa Bay's order will be as potent as any in the AL.
Castilla, Vaughn, 1B Fred McGriff and DH Jose Canseco, hit more home runs
last season than any current foursome in baseball. Actually, that quartet
has more homers over the last two seasons than any other foursome...
