RENDEZ-VOUS AVENTURE 2005 – July 26th 2005


The Magdalen’s Islands, Canada will receive the World’s best kitesufers
during the PKRA Kiteboarding World Cup 2005.

Rendez-Vous Aventure 2005 is proud to welcome the first stage of the
PKRA World Cup to be held in North America. September 3 to September 10,
the PKRA (Professional Kite Riders Association) riders will gather in
the Magdalen’s Islands for a week of competitions. The Magdalen’s
Islands’ World Cup will be the sixth of eight stops which will determine
the 2005 World Champion, male and female, in the freestyle category.
During the event, more than 36 000 $ US in prize money will be distributed.

Amateurs will also have their share of action since one part of the
event is dedicated to them. Friendly free-style competitions, speed
racing and a long distant race (24 km) are part of the program.

The Rendez-Vous Aventure 2005 also presents, this year, The Coupe des
Iles, the Canadian Windsurfing Championship, August 28 to September 3 as
well as the Tour Bleu Paddlefest, the sea kayak challenge, September 11
to 16.
