Hey y'all!
It's me again here to talk up SPUN-o-Palooza! It's happening this w/e starting
at 7pm on Friday, June 17 and going on for 24 hours 'til 7pm Saturday, June 18
to be held at the Darien Sportsplex (www.dariensportsplex.com). 24 hours of
continuous ultimate pickup for a GREAT cause--the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance
(www.tsalliance.org)! I picked the TS Alliance because the daughter of a fellow
ultimate player has the disease. I thought that this community of ultimate
players in the Chicagoarea could do something fun to raise money and awareness
for this relatively unknown disorder.
For one donation (minimum $40), you can play as much ultimate as you can stand!
How long can you last?!?! You can solicit donations from family and friends.
All checks should be made out to the Tuberous Sclerosis Alliance. You'll
receive a T-shirt, a bottle of water, and your pick of fruit and/or bagels.
There will also be prizes every 2 hours! And, a special prize for the person
playing the longest total time, and the person with the most in donations.
[Both of these do not include the organizer (me) or committee.]
As a special incentive to college students, an anonymous donor will donate $20
of the minimum $40 to the first 30 college students to sign up with me! That's
right! So, email me now to get in on the deal! Sign up is easy. Simply email
me that you're coming and the approximate time. (A phone # would be helpful as
well.)
Friday night is pretty busy, but Saturday morning and afternoon are times that I
could use some fresh legs to help revive those of us who will be there the
entire 24 hours.
So, email me to let me know you're coming to participate in this fun event for a
worthy cause!
Thanks in advance!
Lisa =)
