VBmatch's STANFORD SUMMER SERIES is back ! ! !

Last year, several hundred players participated in VBmatch's fundraising grass
volleyball tournaments for the Stanford Women's Club Volleyball Team.

The 2009 Stanford Summer Series kicks off on Saturday, July 11th. It will be
held at the Sand Hill IM Fields on the beautiful Stanford Campus.

The formats include Men's 2s, Women's 2s and Hybrid Reverse-Coed 2s and 4s.

For the Hybrid R-Coed format, you sign up with a partner of the opposite gender
as a PAIR and play BOTH regular R-Coed Doubles with your partner and random-draw
Quads with other pairs. Playoffs will start with Quads, but the final rounds of
playoffs will be R-Coed 2s; hence you need excel in both formats to win. And
here's one final twist: top ranked pairs from pool-play get to choose their
teammates for playoff Quads -- but they will be forced to play against the
chosen teammates once the format changes from Quads to Doubles in the final
rounds of playoffs. So players need to choose their alliances wisely since
teammates soon become rivals!

VBmatch has hosted this format several times and it has proven popular because
it provides for a very FUN, SOCIAL and COMPETITIVE atmosphere at the tournament!
Online Pre-Registration is REQUIRED for the Hybrid R-Coed 2s and 4s tournament
whereas On-Site Registration will be accepted for the MEN's 2s and WOMEN's 2s
Tournament.
