WVJACL is looking for a few more teams for it's co-ed indoor 6's tournament at Foothill College on Oct. 15th and 16th.  If interested, please contact

This tournament is for a good cause - helping fund the senior center, and it would be great to have all the spots in the tournament filled.



WVJACL Next Generation SummerSet 2005 COED Volleyball Tournament
October 15&16, 2005
Foothill Community College
Proceeds from this tournament will benefit the West Valley JACL & Senior Club activities

TOURNAMENT CAPACITY:   A total of 30 teams will be accepted.

TEAM ENTRY FEE: (Please make checks payable to:  West Valley JACL)
·       $160.00 for West Valley JACL Next Generation Teams
·       $180.00 for Non-West Valley JACL Next Generation Teams
·       Additional terms and rules upon registration.

PRIZES:   Awarded to the 1st & 2nd place teams in each pool on Sunday (Maximum of 8 prizes/team)
OTHER PRIZES - Further information available at check-in at the registration desk the day of the tournament

PLAY FORMAT:
   * 2005 USAV Coed rules (3 men/3 women) on both days..
   * 2 games to 21 points (rally score) must win by 2 (cap at 25)
   * 2 time outs per game.
   * Warm up between matches is 10 minutes. Warm up between games is 5 minutes.
   * A team must have at least 5 players to start a game (minimum 2 men and 2 women).  Teams with 5 players must play an open hole/phantom player.
   * Teams with less than 5 players must forfeit the first game.  After 15 minutes, if the team still has less than 5 players, the second game will be forfeited.
   * Teams can borrow any 2 players from their pool or lower pool on Saturday.
   * Teams can borrow any 1 player from their pool or a lower pool on Sunday for injuries only. Substitution guidelines will be strictly enforced
   * Players may not enter into another court at any time.
   * Teams will be seeded based on Saturday's performance.

WEST VALLEY JACL Next Generation:
To qualify as a WVJACL NG Team, a minimum number of three (3) players must be current West Valley JACL NG members for the year 2005. Team status cannot be changed after submission of this form.

ACCEPTANCE GUIDELINES:
   * All entries must be mailed in with a postmark date on or after August 24, 2005
   * No hand deliveries will be accepted.
   * Confirmations will be sent upon acceptance.

 TEAM ROSTERS:
For proper team seeding, accurate rosters are necessary.
