Hey welcome to the group Jason_From_Alberta! This group has been
pretty quiet for a long time but any league with a 7 month layoff
probably has that problem too. That and the best message board for
lacrosse is over at wingszone.com

For everybody else the homepage for the group has changed. Give it a
peek, filled with Roughie info and other tidbits that you won't find
any other place on the internet. (and if you do well you know where
they got it from)

Hey they've signed Neil Doddridge and re-signed Jason Wulder, Johnny
Kilbride and Kyle Goundrey.

Can't wait for the season to get going.

Debbie (aka "Bandit") took a ton of pics at Heritage Cup... some are
in the random photo rotation on Lacrosse-Network.com home page, and
three are on Outsider's Guide (heritage1.jpg (hidden file),
heritage2.jpg, and heritage3.jpg). Talk to her if you don't find what
you're looking for...

Well the Heritage Cup is over and what a stinker it was. But both
Roughies in the event came out ok. Panos had a couple assists and
generally looked good out on the floor although wasn't used too much.
Kelusky scored a couple although one goal was creditted to John Grant
instead. Good Roughie night though for sure.

Does anybody have a jersey personalized? Just wondering where you went
to get that done. CoolLacrosse.com will do it but I've heard horror
stories about that.

Where is everybody??? The Roughies signed on 10 more players including
4 RMLLers.

Added to the fold are Dan Bostrom (RMLL leading scorer) along with
Chris Stachniak, Steven Smyth and Tim Janzen.

The first three are Edmonton Outlaw players while Tim Janzen is a
young defenseman off the Calgary Mountaineers.

Hi Jeff

The Roughnecks play in the National Lacrosse League which is a pro
league. Canada is also full of amatuer leagues at both the senior and
junior levels. But all this is box lacrosse whereas I imagine you're
refering to the field game. For pro field lacrosse the MLL is your
answer, a small 6 team pro league in the the US.

As for equipment I use a Warrior stick myself although it doesn't get
used all that often. And Brine gloves, Warrior shoulder pads and a
Bauer helmet.

For a couple websites to look at:

www.theboxrocks.com
www.ontariolacrosse.com
www.bclacrosse.com

The RMLL season is underway. Last night at Centennial Arena the
Mountaineers tied the Warthogs 7 up. Interesting game with 5 goal runs
finishing the night.

Our final average attendance should be someplace around 8800 which is
good for any expansion team but fantastic for an expansion team that
lost the last 9 games of a 16 game season. Now to sit back and watch
the playoffs then head to some summer action.

RMLL Season starts May 8th in Calgary.

I'm not sure if it's got an email listed but Ryan is a member of this
club. Give it a peek under his Yahoo ID name. If not then your best
bet is to try to contact the team office and see if they'll forward a
message for you to him.

Looking at the schedule breakdown on the OG the Roughies are 0-6 in games played
on Saturdays. Unfortunately all three remaining games are Saturdays.
superstition I know but still a bad omen.

Well in all 6 of the losses if you took the first
quarter or sometimes just the first 5-10 minutes and got
rid of it they'd turn into wins. Sure it's a
pipedream but it's true. We've been very slow starters of
late and it hurts us. We score the first goal of the
game and then relax a bit and bang down by a bunch.
Hopefully this next game we can come out of the gates and
score 3 or 4 instead of just one. Bring on those
Rockheads...

I must say i'm a little surprised that Calgary
hasn't done as well as i assumed. I had figured them at
making a relatively decent run at the #6 seed -
especially after that Toth trade. It's been a good year and
you guys have been drawing some decent
crowds.

You guys are still my #2 and let's hope there's a 3
game sweep to end the season!

3 really decent quarters especially the fourth
but that first quarter bombed them out. 9-1 after one
just plain hurts. Nice to see Grant MacLeod get some
floor time. Not too bad either and a couple assists to
boot.

4 left and all 4 are divisional games on SportsNet. Not a bad way to finish off
