Welcome to the Terra Venture Expedition Race, held western North
Carolina, home of the most breathtaking terrain east of the Rockies.
6000' peaks, class 4 to 5 rivers, an awe inspiring ropework section,
brutal climbs, and furious descents await!

Terra Venture is a ten day, multi discipline, expedition style
adventure race to be held March 25-April 9, 2006. Coed teams of four
will traverse the 500 mile course, with disciplines including
trekking, mountain biking, whitewater paddling, flatwater paddling,
rock climbing, ropework, and swimming. Navigation will be critical in
completing the course. The Terra Venture will be a non-stop,
unsupported race with a $100,000 prize purse.
