Is anyone sailing the Mistral One Design board in the area? I'm a
beginner/immediate sailor looking to get out on the water some more.
Although, I'm not sure if my One Design is the best board for sailing
the light winds around here. It's got plenty of volume but it's
really heavy and hard to control in high winds.

I currently have a 6.5 sail and I'm a heavier sailor at almost 250
lbs. On days above 15 mph I'm having lots of fun. Anything less and
I can't get into my harness.

Any recommendations on how to change my gear? I'm thinking about
buying another light wind rig but I've never sailed with a bigger
rig. Are there any demo events coming up in the fall to try out
different rigs/boards?
