Entry Fees:
$30.00 plus a $10 MAS season registration fee. (The MAS
season fee is paid once for the entire MAS series.) This includes:
two lunches, Saturday cookout, overnight camping, trophies and raffle
drawing prizes.

"B" Fleet (pumping, possible shortened course)

Governed By:
The regatta will be governed by; the Racing Rules of Sailing,
including Appendix A, the prescriptions of U.S. Sailing; the Sailing
Instructions (available at registration), and the Official Notice
Board.

Scoring:
The Low Point Scoring System, Appendix A4.1 of the Racing Rules of
Sailing, will apply. Competitors who start together will be scored
against each other (Fleet Scoring). Results will be passed on to the
US Windsurfing Mid-Atlantic Regional Director for Mid-Atlantic Series
scoring.

Eligibility:
To be eligible, participants must complete a registration form. This
is a 2001 US Windsurfing MID-Atlantic Series events. To be scored in
the MAS and to win MAS raffle prizes, you must be a US Windsurfing
Member & pay the $10 season
Registration fee

Racing Discipline:
The Racing discipline is course racing. The courses will be
described at the Skipper's meeting.

Wind Minimums:
Races will not be started in winds less than 5mph

Awards:
Prizes will be awarded immediately after the conclusion of
racing and protest hearings.

Location and Directions:
Gunpowder Falls State Park, Hammerman Area, Chase MD. From I-95 North
of the Baltimore Beltway (I-695) take exit 67 East (Route 43) to US
Rte 40 East (about one mile). Turn right at first traffic light
(about ½ mile) onto Ebenezer Road. Follow Ebenezer Road about four
miles to park on the left. Park entrance fee is $2.00 per person.
Multiple entries are charged.

Accommodations:
Saturday Night Camping - The Park Service has given us permission to
camp at the race site on Saturday night and asks that we pitch tents
just up the knoll from the beach. The park opens at 8:00 AM and
closes at sunset (about 8:45 PM) when the gates are locked so no
access is possible after that time. Men's and women's rest
rooms with
showers are available near the camping/launch area.

Housing - A limited number of private homes (BABA members) are
available to racers and their families on a first come – first
served, call ahead basis. They are from 20 to 45 minutes drive from

Hotels - Within a 15 to 30 minute drive from Gunpowder are:
Holiday Inn (Towson) at I-695 and Cromwell Bridge Road (MD 567 –
beltway exit 29 South – Lock Raven Blvd.), Tel. 410-823-4410.
Susse Chalet (Rosedale) at I-695 and Philadelphia Road, (MD 7 –
beltway
exit 34 North). Tel. 410-574-8100.
Williamsburg Inn (Chase) on Rte 40, 7/10th of a mile NE of Ebenezer
Road. Tel. 410-335-3172

Call ahead for reservations at each to assure
availability.

Provisions:
Lunches will be provided for racers on both Saturday and Sunday.
Family members and guests can purchase sandwiches, sodas, and snacks
in the park pavilion adjacent to the race site.

Dinner on Saturday evening will be a cookout at the race site and is
included in the regatta entry fee. Family members and guests are
welcome for an additional fee of $5.00 per person. Please make dinner
requests known at time of registration.

Other: There is a new diner at the corner of Ebenezer Road and Rte 40
(4 miles from the park). Other restaurants may be found along Rte 40
and in the White Marsh Mall (Rte 43 about 7 miles from the park).
