I guess this wouldn't be a spoiler. Maria has withdrawn from Worlds after
placing 6th in her qualifying group (tied for 11th overall therefore). It
is said that she withdrew due to illness. They have a short blip on it on

I'm quite saddened. I really wanted to see her have one last wonderful
skate she could be proud of. What a pity! I certainly hope that she is
indeed ill...I'd hate to see her just give up after all this time. Such a
sad season...but I hope she is nonetheless proud of her career. Let's just
hope that the professional events will add her, and that she will be on some
tour and then on to coaching, choreography, costume design, whatever makes
her happy. Her clients will be very lucky.
