Welcome to the group, Dave. The Jills do try to keep busy with
personal appearances and such. As far as the Bandettes, I am myself
aware of one former Jill, who actually is a moderator on this group,
who is currently a Bandette. In the past, all the Bandettes were also
on the Jills as they had the same director back then. Nowadays, I
think the only squads that perform dual roles like that are the
Bandettes/Ice Girls. And of course with the Sabres season on
indefinite hold, they haven't had to be Ice Girls since last spring.
By the way, be sure to check out the official Buffalo Jills forums as
well. the link is near the bottom of the front page of this group.

Cheerleader Auditions run as follows:
You are invited to an open workshop on Sunday, April 17 th,
2005 .Location to be announced. The actual audition dance routine
will be taught at this workshop. There is no fee for this 1 st
workshop. You will not be judged at this workshop however; it is
still important that you look your best because video and photos are
taken. A videotape of the audition routine will be available to buy
at this workshop. There will also be a question and answer period
during this workshop to help you understand what to expect with
auditions and what is expected of a Buffalo Jill. Many questions and
clarifications will be made at this workshop.
All workshops are mandatory.
1 st cuts will be the following Sunday, April 24 th. There is a $30
audition fee due at the time of these auditions. Personal checks are
not accepted. You need to come to auditions prepared knowing the
routine that was taught the week prior. You will perform that routine
with 1 other young lady. (I.e. numbers 1 & 2 will audition together,
3 & 4 and so on.) There are no start-over's, once the music
begins,
you must complete the routine. Once everyone has completed
performing, dance finalists (1 st cuts) will be chosen. The number of
1 st cut finalists will be determined by how many people audition.

Direct from Stephanie Mateczun, Buffalo Jills Director:
The girls will be at Eastern Hills mall in front of George & Co Fri,
6p-8pm...then in the middle court Sat, 12n-2pm.
Fri is to help promote George & Co because they've supplied us with
our Halloween costumes and Xmas dresses. Sat is just to sell Jills
calendars and DVD's.
Nice little blurb on NFL.com giving props to our Jills
Kickoff temperature 55 degrees with 25 mile-per-hour winds, the
Buffalo Jills came out in miniskirts and bare midriffs. Spectators
were wearing heavy coats; coaches on both sidelines sported
windbreaker pants; players on the benches had ski caps pulled low
over their ears; yet the cheerleaders were scantily attired! This
represents one of the most dramatic examples of cheer-babe
professionalism that TMQ has ever witnessed. Needless to say, the
football gods crowned the team with success.

A swimsuit shoot DVD featuring our Buffalo Jills can be ordered
through the mail with the form found at

Starting with the next game, they will be available in the Fieldhouse
before the games and DVD's also available at The Bills Store, inside
the stadium on game days and at any

Cousins Aimee Grymin and Erica Buda have much to look forward to
today at the Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots game.
The cousins, both seniors at the State University College at
Fredonia, will form a quartet with two other women and perform the
national anthem before the start of the 1 p.m. game at Ralph Wilson
Stadium in Orchard Park.
Both women have close ties to the Bills.
Grymin, 21, a Pittsford native, is in her third season as a Buffalo
Jills cheerleader.
Buda, 22, who is from Albany, is an alumna of the Jills.

Come and join Buffalo's Hottest Lacrosse Dance Team!!!! On Saturday,
October2, and Sunday, October 3, the Buffalo Bandettes will be
holding open tryouts for their 2005 squad. Last season, 14 women were
selected to represent Buffalo's lone lacrosse team during Bandit
games and at various events around the greater Buffalo area. It could
be you.
WHEN:
-- Saturday October 2, 2004 12pm to 4pm – you will learn a dance
routine and the procedure for audition process.
-- Sunday October 3, 2004 – 1pm to 5pm – Audition- you will perform
the routine and interview with a panel of judges.

The Jills took the field wearing brand new uniforms for the first
time in a few years and I must say they looked pretty sharp. The only
thing I would change about them is to replace the Bills Cheerleader
wording on the back with the Jills logo. There will be a number of
photos uploaded to the Files section of the group over the next few
days.

Bruins invite fans to huddle at June 3 convention
The Northern Tier Bruins are preparing for their second season of
semi-professional football in the North American Football League.
Last year the Bruins burst onto the scene with a 12-2 record,
including a visit to the post-season playoffs. Team president Chris
McLaud is even more optimistic about the upcoming season.
To kick off the new campaign, that opens Saturday, June 19, at
Veterans Memorial Park, McLaud and the Bruins will be hosting the
inaugural Northern Tier Bruins' 2004 Fan Convention.
Fans of the team will huddle at the Grand Victoria Inn in Sayre on
Thursday, June 3, from 5:30 p.m. until 10 p.m. The cost for the
evening of football is $10 for adults and $5 for seniors and students.
The highlight of the evening will be a visit by New York Giants'
starting defensive back Will Peterson, who will be available to meet
the fans, answer questions and sign autographs. Fans will also have
an opportunity to have their photo taken with members of the Buffalo
Jills cheerleading team.
