Player meeting:

Jessie and Manya- the Delmarva Region is holding their " Quiz" rally
on SAt Feb 21 and personally I want all of my pony clubbers to go to
that- it is so important!

So I know this is last minute.. but can we change the day to Sunday
instead? I think this would affect Gracie, Jake, Ashleigh, Julie,
Jonathan and Paige Hurley (and the other gal from that club)... not
sure who else I missed. But I would love to be able to have most of
them there.

If any of these folks are reading this please respond!

Florida:
Also- at this point Lauren and I are 50/50 on going to Florida-
depends on how bad the weather is for the next few weeks. I don't want
to take my horses if they have not been ridden at least a couple of
times a week- just not fair!

If we go we would be taking Shawnee for Jake ( congrats Jake on your
new horse!) and possibly Posh. Sorry to make a last minute decision
but that is where we are.

Bucks Co South:
I am hoping to get Beth and Cathy Protesto to join our club so that we
can use their new facility for practices!!!! It is located in Glen
Mills about 5 minutes from our place- a really good sized field and
flat! I will keep you updated

available board positions should be sent to my attention -

Hi guys,

Well, I'm not in the horse selling business for a reason, I guess I'm through trying to sell and just looking for a great home for this guy; even though my friends tell me I'm nuts, I'm not asking any cash so I can be choosy about who he goes to.

Here is a link to his Equine.now ad with photos -

http://www.equine.com/horses-for-sale/horse-ad-736221.aspx?search_id=92a188a9-8fc1-45b7-b535-28b91c8b3d98

He is horse # 918625
if the link doesn't work (technically challenged here).

Horse Name:  Bear
Price:
FREE
City:  Hammonton
State:  New Jersey
Primary Breed:  Thoroughbred
Secondary Breed:
Sex:  Gelding
Height:  16.3 hands
Color:  Bay
Foal Date:  December 1995
Markings:  Red bay, no white
Weight:  1,200 pounds
Registrations:  JC - Jockey Club

He's a really nice guy, no question you could have some fun showing him this year. I just had to decide between him and my 5 yo, I can't ride them both!

He a huge adjustable stride, fancy mover, judges love him. Bold, athletic jumper. I'm swamped with new job, he is a really nice horse who wants to get back to work. Big powerful jump, lovely dressage work. Starts stiff some mornings, could benefit from injections. Trail rides, hunter paces, bold. Stifle occasionally sticks, but doesn't bother him. Otherwise 100% sound, ready to show & win for you this season with a couple months work! Cribbing controlled with collar. Free to good home or local free lease considered. 609-335-0546

I'd also let him go on a free lease basis, within a day's drive, if that would be preferable. And I need a promise that if the taker can't keep / doesn't want him anymore, they let me know so I can go bring him back.

Help me find this big guy a job, he's bored stiff just hanging out!

Thanks,
Arcadien

If you're planning on coming to the clinic with Ryan Murphy and Dori Wiseman on the 14th and/or 15th of February, Friday (THIS FRIDAY) is the last day to let Jessie know so you can guarantee you get your requested t-shirt size.

You can decide to attend the clinic after this Friday, but we can not guarantee you will get your ideal size or definitely guarantee a shirt- they will be given out on a first registered, first served basis if you do not reserve your shirt by Friday!!

I'm attaching the proof Jessie received from the shirt company so you can see how cool her design is!

Let Jessie know if you're coming and what size you want (buckspolocrosse@...)

Hi all

I'm trying to get a newsletter ready for our membership meeting. It's
been a while since I put one together (sorry guys!) so there should be
a lot of stuff to gather. I've already asked people to write articles
about some events, but if you feel left out and want to contribute let
me know, I have a couple things left to get written up. Also- if you
have something in particular you'd like to write or something you want
to see in the newsletter, please send it my way!!!

(I still need to find someone to write about both of the bucks
tournaments and the Graham Bennett clinic, and probably some other
things that have yet to come to mind!)

Hey guys

If you were a member of the APA last year, make sure you renew NOW!
The last chance to renew is January 31st- just days away!

You can do it online- here's the link:
http://www.americanpolocrosse.org/support-join.php

If you are planning on joining the APA and haven't been a member in
the past you don't need to join by then, but it never hurts to be
early- you'll start getting the APA Off The Racquet.

ever make it to you? I hate snail mail for that reason.. Is it

Want to sport some Bucks County Polocrosse pride?

Have you been eyeing those sporty Bucks County Polocrosse
sweatshirts some of us have? Want one of your own? Or, are you
like me, and are starting to think that your thread-bare sweatshirt
may be ready for replacement?

Let me know!

I want to get together an order of Bucks County Polocrosse hoodies-
they are hunter green and have our club name on the front and our
logo on the back in yellow. They're warm, fuzzy, and oh-so-trendy!

Sweatshirts cost $32 and come from xs-xl.

If youre going to be at the clinic this weekend, you can give Jessie
a check (made out to me- Victoria Prince) or cash in the right
amount and let her know what size you want. (I alas am in Japan
until Saturday night, so hopefully I'll see people Sunday, but I may
be pushing it a little!!). If you could also e-mail me your request
that would be great!

See you all soon!

Victoria

Sunshine Region Pony Club Polocrosse Rally in conjunction with the APA Masters Int’l Tournament in Ocala, FL

– Wow that is a long name for a rally!

Attached are the documents needed to register for the one day rally on the Saturday of the tournament.

If you have already registered with Charlie Horse – no worries, just please make a note on this registration.

Individual without a team?  No worries – we are accepting scramblers and putting together teams.

All play will be with the APA tournament teams – you may be playing on teams with non-pony clubbers – that is okay.

Pony Club Rally will assign you to a team for horse management scores.

Tentative Schedule:

Saturday          7a        Horse Mgmt Meeting

                        7:20a   Jogs

                        8a        APA tournament meeting

                        9a        Chukkas begin

The only other additions for pony clubbers will be safety checks, a required cool out area after each chukka and tack room checks for the teams.

Pony Clubbers must adhere to the USPC Polocrosse Rulebook 2009, Polocrosse Newsletter 2009 & Horse Management Rulebook.

Main points to consider for Saturdays play for Pony clubbers:

Stock saddles are only allowed at the Intermediate & Advanced levels.

ASTM/SEI – helmets – New Derby not approved

            ¼ swings only

These are not all of the points just the highlights – please read your rulebooks!

To participate in the qualifying rally you must plan on attending the entire APA tournament.

Mail entries to Leslie Patterson, 22821 Yonge Road, Eustis FL 32736 – postmarked by Feb 19th!

First and Foremost:
If you have been nominated and have accepted the nomination for a
board position, please be prepared to give a quick speech (a couple
minutes) at the members meeting. We are in the very exciting position
of having multiple people running for some positions!

Members Meeting is this Sunday at 2pm. Is anyone interested in
getting together a bit earlier (1:00?) to have an unmounted practice?
E-mail back!

Last call for T-shirt contest entries! The entry form says that
entries must be sent to Jessie, but if you bring them to the members
meeting they can still be considered.

See everyone Sunday!

I just had the sense to check the weather- and Sunday may be kind of gross, so an on-foot practice may not be the best idea- perhaps we can play it by ear if people are interested!
