Central Bucks Family YMCA 5K
The traditional beginning of the Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series has always been
the YMCA 5K race, and this year is no exception. The 5K race starts at 9:30 AM
on March 22nd. It's part of a Pump and Run event, with the optional (free) Pump
beginning at 7:00 AM in the Y's Fitness Center. There will also be a 1 mile Fun
Run at 9:00 and a Kids scramble at 10:30. Last year's race drew more than 700
registered runners. It's a fast course. The course record, 14:51, was set by
Karl Dusen in 2007.
The race benefits the Y's Financial Assistance program – no one is turned away
from the Y.
