SIMONETTI, CAPECCI WIN PANERA BREAD BUCKS 5K SERIES

June 15, 2008

Keith Capecci and Sarah Simonetti won the Special Equestrians 5K, the
last of seven races in the Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series. With their
wins, Capecci (New Hope) and Simonetti (Perkasie) also clinched the
Series Championships.

Capecci won the last 4 Series races and in the process set course
records at the Doylestown and SERTOMA (Central Park) races.
Simonetti won the first two and the last two races. She took off
time in between to run for Pennridge High School, where she set
several records. Her time at Special Equestrians was 18:45, just 23
seconds off Laura Fanelli's record set last year. Capecci's time was
15:28, 8 seconds behind Dan McKay's course record.

For the women at Special Equestrians, Deena Andrus (Reading) had the
highest age-graded master's rating, 76.0%. For the men, Antonio De
Vido (Doylestown) had the highest age-graded master's rating, 79.5%.

Thanks to our loyal sponsors and especially to all of the athletes
who ran our races, the Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series was able to earn
$101,000 to benefit our local non-profit organizations. In addition
to the four course records set this year, the Series enjoyed record
breaking attendance. More than 3900 runners registered for the 5K
and 1-mile runs. 5K registration alone was up more than 22% over
last year.

www.bucks5kseries.com has the complete Series Standings, as well as
the results of all of the seven races. Our website includes videos
of the races, links to race photographs, lists of our sponsors and
non-profit organizations, and much more. Our 2009 schedule will be
posted in the near future. If you missed the last race, you can pick
up your tile and Series shirt at TrainingZone Sports. TZ is
relocating within the next several weeks, so visit their website,
www.tzsports.com for their new address and opening date.
