On St. Patrick's Day, Central Bucks Family YMCA kicked off the first
of seven races in the Bucks 5K Series. More than 350 runners and
families participated in the 5K race, 1 mile fun run/walk, and fun
activities like shamrock face painting, Blarney Stone painting, and
Kids Scramble race. Proceeds from the race will benefit Central
Bucks Family YMCA's Financial Assistance Program.

Anne Nash was the women's winner. Todd Wiley placed first overall,
and tied the course record. Three seconds separated 13 year old
Elizabeth Kearins and 11 year old Alex Brasington in the race for
second place in the women's competition. John Marino was the first
place master runner, and 5th overall. Complete results are posted on
www.bucks5kseries.com.

The next Series race is on April 6 at Doylestown Hospital's Wellness
Center in Warrington. Go online at www.Bucks5KSeries.com to register
and learn more.
