tell you about a special Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series day at their
new cafe in Warrington's Valley Square Center. The date is January

Panera Bread Is New Title Sponsor of Bucks 5K Series
The Bucks 5K Series, seven road races benefiting Bucks County non-
profit organizations, today announced that Panera Bread has signed to
be title sponsor for the 2008 event.
The race series will be renamed the Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series.
Panera Bread's financial commitment will help the series raise
additional funds for the seven non-profits that are supported by the
series, entering its 13th year. In 2007, the series raised $99,000.
"We are very excited to welcome Panera Bread to our races," said Dick
Patterson, president of the all-volunteer board of directors that
oversees the event. "Thirteen must be a lucky number for us because
we are confident Panera's support will help take our great series to
the next level in 2008."
To kick off the partnership, a Panera Bread Bucks 5K Series day will
be held at the new Panera Bread bakery cafe in Warrington on
Saturday, January 12. All "runners, racers and rookies" who register
for the race between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. at the Panera in the Valley
Square Lifestyle Center will receive a free $5 Panera gift card. Any
runners who register online for the race before January 12 can
receive the $5 gift card by showing proof of registration at the
bakery cafe on January 12. .
Panera Bread has three bakery cafes in Bucks County. In addition to
the Warrington location, Paneras has locations on Street Road in
Feasterville and Lincoln Highway in Levittown. A fourth bakery cafe
will open in Bensalem in 2008.
"Community is very important to us," said Tammy Dwyer, director of
marketing for Panera Bread. "We are very proud to do our part to help
promote healthy lifestyles and to support the organizations that do
so much for Bucks County residents."
The Panera Bread Bucks 5k Series features seven 3.1-mile races in the
spring. Races are open to everyone from competitive runners to
beginners. The 2008 schedule is:

In addition to the Panera Bucks 5K Series Day, runners can register

at the website or on race day at each event.

YMCA, New Hope Solebury Community Association's Scholarship and
Athletic Funds, CancerFit, SERTOMA, Bucks for Kids, Doylestown
Business and Community Alliance, Our Lady of Mt. Carmel School,
Chalfont's Parks and Trails, and Special Equestrians
Panera Bread has 20 locations in the Delaware Valley, with three in
Bucks County and 6 in Montgomery County. American Bread Company of
Trevose, a franchisee of Panera Bread, operates the bakery cafes.

Founded in 1996, the Bucks 5K Series is Bucks County's premier race
series. Proceeds benefit seven non-profit organizations serving Bucks
County. In 2007, 3400 runners entered the races and the overall
Series winners are recognized as the "Best of Bucks". In addition,
each of the seven races gives first, second and third place awards in
5-year age groups, with the overall male and female and the top age-
graded male and female master racers recognized. Each race has a 1-
mile fun run with awards for all finishers and many of the races
