Kevin Cooke and Laura Fanelli were the first man and woman at the
Fitness Center 5K Race on April 21st. After completion of the first
3 races of the Bucks 5K Series, Cooke (Doylestown) has won 2 races,
while Fanelli (Chalfont) has won all 3.

Kevin Cooke's time for the hilly course was 16:40. Erik Corbin (New
Hope) was second in 17:43. Laura Fanelli's finishing time was
19:23. Another Corbin, Julie, was second with a time of 20:18.

The race took place on a picture perfect day at Doylestown Hospital's
Health and Wellness Center. The total number of registered runners
set an all time record. This was the second consecutive Bucks 5K
Series race to attain a record. The race proceeds will benefit
Cancerfit, who provides evidence-based lifestyle programs to support
cancer survivors in our community.

Carl Goldschmidt (Doylestown) was the top master's runner with a time
of 17:50. He also won the male age-graded master's award with a
79.5% rating. Mike Rose (Newtown) had the second highest master's
age-graded rating at 78.2%. Antonio De Vido (Doylestown) was the
second place master's runner with a finishing time of 18:07.

For the women, Linda Thurston (Doylestown) was the top age-graded
master. Her rating was 77.6%. Julie Corbin (New Hope) was second
with a rating of 76.6%. Julie, who was also second overall, was the
top master's runner with a time of 20:18. Deena Andrus (Reading)
finished in 20:44, the second best master's time.
