BUCKS 5K SERIES ENDS SUNDAY   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #49 of 102 |
The 7th and final race of the Bucks 5K Series will be contested this
Sunday, June 19th at the Special Equestrians facility on Street Road
in Warrington. This is a change from previous years, when the race
was held on a Saturday.
As always, the Series awards will be presented immediately after the
race awards. Check out www.bucks5kseries.com
<http://www.bucks5kseries.com> for the latest results and the Series
standings. If you're in the running for a Series award, be sure to
not miss this final event. NOTE: PLEASE REMEMBER THAT FOR THE SERIES
SCORING, YOUR OFFICIAL AGE IS YOUR AGE ON 6/19/05, NOT YOUR AGE ON
ANY OF THE RACE DATES.
We'll also be selling the 10th Anniversary pint glasses, as well as a
limited number of our special dri-fit Series T-shirts. Both are
terrific buys and their sales will help our non-profit organizations.
The conditions at last week's Chalfont Challenge were a
real "Challenge". In spite of the heat, Joe Wiegner of Ivyland set a
new course record with a time of 16:16. Tim Marcoe (Lansdale) came in
the second in 16:50.
Jen Moylan (Sellersville) was the top woman with a time of 20:41.
Gert Freas (North Wales, 21:08) was second. Gert was the top age-
graded masters runner with a rating of 74.6%. She was also the
overall masters winner.
Gina Buggy Chalfont) had the second highest age-graded masters rating
(73.7%), while Molly Bailey-Goga (Doylestown) had the second best
masters time (21:23). Molly and Gina were separated by only one
second!
For the men, Art Burger again won the age-graded masters title with a
rating of 80.4%. Larry Levy was second at 78.6%. Larry (Reading) also
had the best masters time (17:09), followed by Antonio de Vido
(Doylestown, 18:06).
The closest age groups were F35-39 and M45-49. Heidi Pernia (21:12),
Tammy Smith (21:15), and Anabelle Matos (21:43) were the quick women,
while David Noa (19:01), Tom Rudan (19:26) and John Gorgol (19:58)
were the fast men.
You can check out the complete results and register on-line for the
last race at www.bucks5kseries.com <http://www.bucks5kseries.com>.
