More than 550 runners raced the Doylestown 5K and its Fun Run on May
28th. Todd Wiley of Doylestown was the overall winner with a time of
16:11. He was followed by Tim Marcoe (Lansdale) in a time of 16:40.
Suzanne Day (Houston, TX) was female winner with a time of 19:52.
Suzanne won the master's division and also turned in the best age-
graded rating among the women masters with a score of 81.5%. She was
the first person to win all three honors in any Bucks 5K Series race -
- an outstanding accomplishment.
For the women, Alexandra Brasington (Dresher) was second overall
(20:31), Barbara Gorka (Philadelphia) was the second master (20:43),
and Joan Kovar (Doylestown) had the second highest age-graded master
rating (76.6%).
Art Burger (Doylestown) won the men's age-graded master's competition
(83.6%), followed by Mike Clark (Doylestown, 80.5%). Larry Levy
(Reading) was the fastest male master with a time of 16:48. Daniel
Feder (Princeton, NJ) was second in 17:04.
There were many runners from the same family who raced. One family
affair was the Adamsky brothers, all of whom turned in excellent
times. They were Rick (19:35), Brian (19:53), Tim (20:04) and Greg
(20:29). Another notable was the Izewski family: mother Christine
(25:49), father Ron (25:39), Alexander (21:41 -- first in the under
12 age group), Nicole (22:14 -- second in 12-14), and Joshua (17:16 --
second in 15-19).
