BUCKS 5K SERIES -- RESULTS OF FITNESS 5K RACE

The rain held off on April 23rd, setting the stage for a nearly
perfect day for the runners. The race took place in the neighborhoods
around Doylestown Hospital's Health and Wellness Center in Warrington
PA. Proceeds will benefit the Free Clinic of Doylestown.

In spite of the hilly course, weather was very conducive for racing
and some excellent times were recorded. The overall winners were

Top Females
1. Alexandra Brasington (Dresher) 18:54
2. Deena Andrus (Reading) 20:14

Top Males
1. Kevin Cooke (Doylestown) 16:10
2. Larry Levy (Reading) 16:38

Top Age-graded Male Master
Art Burger (61) 84.6% (18:54)

Top Age-graded Female Master
Deena Andrus (40) 74.7% (20:14)

Top Male Masters
1. Antonio De Vido (Doylestown) 17:03
2. David Noa (Doylestown) 17:56

Top Female Masters
1. Deena Andrus 20:15
2. Catherine Thompson (Jamison) 22:17

The closest age group race was the woman's 35-39, where Lisa Wilson
(Wycombe) won by one second over Tammy Smith (Dublin) in a time of
20:56. Anabelle Matos (Hatfield) was only 26 seconds behind in third
place. For the men's 30-34, Johan Anestad (Quakertown) won in a dead
heat over Joshua Finger (Lansdale). They were both timed in 16:51.
Matt Sikora (Yardley) was only 39 seconds behind in third place.

The race for the Bucks 5K Series title is starting to heat up. Karl
Dusan (Doylestown), Kevin Cooke, and Brian Gould (Langhorne) have
each won one of the first three races in the Series. In the race for
the woman's title, Alexandra Brasington has won 2 races and Heather
Houseknecht (Furlong) won the third. The scoring for the seven race
series is based on the finish places in a minimum of 4 races.

The next race is the SERTOMA 5K in Doylestown's Central Park on May
