Bucks 5K Series and FitCare LifeCenter Team up for Fun!
The FitCare LifeCenter 5K, the third race in the Bucks 5K Series,
will be held on Saturday April 12, 2003 at 9:30 AM. In addition to
the 5K race, a 1-mile fun run will be held at 9:00 AM. Registration
for both the fun run and the 5K race will begin at 7:45 AM at the
Health and Wellness Center, 847 Easton Rd., Warrington, PA. Proceeds
from registration fees will benefit the Doylestown Free Clinic.
This marks the second year that the FitCare race is part of the Bucks
5K Series. These races have been an integral part of raising much-
needed dollars for local non-profit organizations such as the
Doylestown Free Clinic. Runners of all ages and abilities are
encouraged to take part in the race. The course winds through a
quiet, residential neighborhood with plenty of flat terrain and
gentle rolling hills. Enjoy the festivities afterwards including a
DJ, raffle with exciting prizes, massage therapists, and children's
activities.
Also, don't forget to join your fellow competitors at the pre-race
pasta dinner, which will be held on Friday, April 11, 2003 from 5:30-
7:30 PM, also at the Health and Wellness Center. The cost is $8.00
for adults, $4.00 for children under 12, and children under 3 are
free. The movie, "Prefontaine" which portrays the inspirational story
of legendary distance runner, Steve Prefontaine, will be shown at
7:30 PM. All proceeds from the pasta dinner will also benefit the
Doylestown Free Clinic.
