BUCKS 5K SERIES NEWS
Series Standings
To be eligible for a Series award, a runner must run a minimum of
four
races. We will score your best four. With three races to go, there
is still time left for those of you who have run just one race. We
will award distinctive Bucks 5K Series tiles to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd
place winners in all age groups, male and female. The overall Male
and Female champions will both receive our custom tile, mounted on an
attractive plaque.
The Male and Female overall championships are yet to be determined.
There have been 3 different female winners in the first four races,
Alexandra Brasington, Brittany Bonnell, and Ann Nash. They are all
in
contention, as is last year's co-champion, Nancy Smith. Elizabeth
Kearins, who won 3 races last year, will also be a factor.
The male division is in a similar state. Karl Dusen, John Marino,
and
Todd Wiley all have wins under their belts. Todd was last year's
champion. Eric Hathaway and Chuck Holliday are the long shots.
Only Vadim Buzan (M65), John Marino (M40), Nancy Smith (F45), Barbara
Burger (F55), and Linda Thurston (F60) have clinched 1st places in
the
age groups with four wins. The battles for 2nd and 3rd are still in
place.
Mike Clarke (M55), Ken McDaid (M35), David Siuta (M14), and Lisa
Peters (F50) all have 3 wins, and need one more to clinch. However,
there are several other runners who could disrupt their plans.
There are serious competitions going on the virtually all of the
other
age groups. For more detail, log on to www.bucks5kseries.com
